Humping Roundup

(Made you look AGAIN)

Happy Hump Day! Well, I'm back from the totally awesome that was Phoenix Comicon. I was going to do that update today, but, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, there's so much else going on, that I think we'll save it for its own update, because it was the level of awesome that truly deserves to hog the spotlight and go solo. So, let's get to all the cool stuff that's taking precedence today, shall we?

First up, we have much action over at SF Signal. Today's Mind Meld is all about aliens, so they asked me to chime in. And then, as part of the Alexander Outland: Space Pirate Blog Tour, they asked me to share Why I Write Humorous Science Fiction. There's also a chance to win Alexander Outland: Space Pirate. (As a Phoenix Comicon update preview, this was, per the bookstore, the hottest book of the con, so don't miss out on your chance to win it!)

Next, Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell has an interview with G.J. Koch (which is pretty darned funny if you ask me, not that anyone has), along with, yes! another chance to win Alexander Outland: Space Pirate.

And speaking of winning Alexander Outland: Space Pirate, Ramblings From a Chaotic Mind has another giveaway up with last week's interview. I know! So much winning, it's too happy to be true!

Have entered to win all over the place, but just aren't sure your magic ju-ju will work to score a copy of Alexander Outland? Night Shade Books is giving you a chance to buy your ecopy a week before official release. Because they CARE about your need to read, that's why.

Next up, Tynga's Reviews dares any who haven't yet to read Touched by an Alien to do so, and that quickly. And My Not So Vacant Shelf and Dun and Red tell you why.

Speaking of reviews, see what Fresh Fiction thought of Alien Diplomacy. Check out what books Reading Reality is Stacking the Shelves with recently. And check out which books/series Larissa's Bookish Life would prefer weren't made into movies or TV shows.

Last, but in no way least, check out the LepreCon 38 Recap by my friend Saul Garnell over at Adventures in SciFi Publishing. It's one of his first articles for them, so give him some Alien Collective love and leave a comment.

Well, as you can see, my doing a wrap up on a 4 day mega-con would mean you were reading until the cows came home (and, really, do the cows ever come home? Or do they jump over the moon and run away? Something to ponder...), so it's a good thing I'm making all y'all wait. So, until next time, enjoy the downward slide towards the weekend, and let's be readers out there! Peace out, my li'l gangstas!

Love,
Gini

Rambling Humping

(Made you look.)

Happy Hump Day! As my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, it's a short and sweet one today, as I prep for Phoenix Comicon  -- starting tomorrow! -- and do all those other good things, and you all prep for the happy downward slide to the weekend.

Catch the latest yappings over at Ramblings From a Chaotic Mind where I'm talking about Alexander Outland: Space Pirate by G.J. Koch (yes, moi).

Looking forward to seeing many of you at Phoenix Comicon. Check out my updated schedule for even more chances to see the me, and be sure to stop by Booth #1139 for hugs and other goodies.

Hope everyone in the States enjoys a lovely Memorial Day Weekend, and hope that everyone else has a lovely weekend no matter what you're celebrating. Peace out, my li'l gangstas, I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,
Gini

Musings of the Fannish Kind

Hey there! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and that your Mondays were nothing like mine. Wasn't the worst day ever. Wasn't the best day ever. To give you an idea of how it went for me...I straightened my office so I could once again see my desk and find all those things I need to do that were lost in the piles of...other things I need to do. Really glad we're on to today, which is shaping up to be a far better day all the way around! So, let's get to it, shall we?

First up, head over to Ex Libris where I'm guest blogging about, well, in that sense, all of you. You can also win a signed and personalized copy of Touched by an Alien, Alien Tango, or Alien in the Family, so don't miss out!

And, speaking of winning, remember that you can still enter to win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate by G.J. Koch (yes, moi) from Book Lovers Inc. through May 26th, and from Books-n-Kisses ending TODAY, so hurry over.

Next up let's hop around the interwebs. Check out which top five characters Larissa's Bookish Life would like to have dinner with. Then check out what Mixed Book Bag has up for Teaser Tuesday. See what Readaholics Anonymous thought of Alien in the Family and what Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell thought of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate. Check out Moonwolf's Lair where she's celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Round out the tour over at Yarning to Write and read about a hilarious "alien" invasion of the Mylar kind.

Some of you have been asking for an easy way to keep up on who's what where and when in the Alien series. So, it's in no way complete, but check out The Centaurion Files where we'll be storing the data all y'all have been wanting.

Phoenix Comicon is right around the corner, so don't miss out on all the fun and the many chances to see the me. My schedule is expanding, and I have my booth number -- #1139 in Author's Alley. I'll be at the booth most of the time when I'm not in panels, so definitely come on by!

That's it for today, but I'll be checking in once more before the con starts. So, let's be readers out there and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,
Gini

Weekend Winning

Hey there! Hope everyone's having a wonderful weekend. I certainly am, but since there's some cool winning going on, I had to share now, lest you miss out.

Head over to A Buckeye Girl Reads and get entered to win a variety of prize packs in celebration of her Blogoversary! Lots of goodies from me, Jennifer Estep, and Katie Lane! Don't miss out, the contest is open internationally (for my prize pack) and closes May 23rd. While you're there, don't forget to register to win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate by G.J. Koch (yes, moi); this one ends on May 22nd.

Next up, see what Readaholics Anonymous thought of Alien Proliferation and Alien Diplomacy. Yes indeed, that's two reviews for the price of one!

Finally time for the Desert Dreams Writers Conference roundup. First off, there are a ton of great pics up at the Conference Blog. It was a really fun conference, with a lot of excited folks in attendance. I addition to my solo panel that Bob Mayer sat in on (making me nervous for one of the only times in my public speaking life, LOL), I got to panel again with the awesome Erin Quinn, Erin Kellison, and Caris Roane, doing our patented paranormal panel. I also got to hang out with Jordan Summers and Amber Scott, and have a great dinner with my awesome agent and all of her clients who were in attendance (we arrived at the restaurant at 8pm...we got home after midnight...and don't even ask when we all got to bed...LOL). Got to see many members of the Alien Collective and spend time with them as well, so all in all, a great conference.

Now, I know what the more veteran among you are asking. No, no, I really do. "Where's the swag, Gini?" That's what you're asking, isn't it? Yeah, see, told you I knew. And, there is indeed swag, much of which is swag in the form of books. (Stop salivating. Or, rather, pace yourselves on the salivation.) Due to my deadlines and travel schedule, I'm not able to do a giveaway right now. HOWEVER, as you're all aware, I'm heading to Phoenix Comicon next week. And then will be going to King of the Swag, San Diego Comic-Con, in July.

What does that mean for all of you? It means that somewhere in late July/early August there's going to be one HECK of a Combo-Con Contest coming. And it's going to be for all of Hook Me Up! only. So, look to the future, because it's gonna be full of win for a whole lot of you.

Not on Hook Me Up! yet? Get that rectified so that you can be in on the big winning. Send an email to gini@ginikoch.com with "Hook Me Up!" in the subject line and you'll be in with the winning in-crowd and all set for the next Combo-Con Contest.

That's it for today, but never fear, more's always on the way. Until then, enjoy the rest of your weekends, get down with your bad selves, and I'll catch you on the flip side! Peace out, my li'l gangstas!

Love,
Gini

Yaps and Kisses

Happy Hump Day! Hope everyone's having a great week and looking forward to the happy downward slide to the weekend. But, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, there's plenty going on this week before then, so let's get to it.

Head over to Books-n-Kisses for a new interview with moi as G.J. Koch (and meet the first real split in the personality, so to speak), and get entered to win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate.

Remember that you can also get entered to win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate from Book Lovers Inc. through May 26th, and Staffer's Musings through May 17th, so don't miss your chances!

Then, check out the latest review of Alien Diplomacy from Book Talk with the Woodridge Public Library. I know it says Alien in the Family and even shows the Alien in the Family cover, but trust me, the reviewer really is talking Alien Diplomacy. Hey, these things happen, LOL.

That's it for today, but never fear, we'll be back soon. And in greater numbers. Star Wars shout out! Yeah, I'm geeking up for Phoenix Comicon...can you tell?

Peace out, my li'l gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,
Gini

Yappers and Other Lovers

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and all the moms and those who fill mom-type roles had a wonderful Mother's Day. I got roses from the hubs, and the hubs and chicklet gave me iTunes gift cards (which the Canine Death Squad and Killer Kitties insist were also from them), which is awesome because, as you all know, I need music to write and I have a lot of writing going on, so I need a lot of new music. Whoo hoo! Also went to a fab dinner and saw The Avengers again (and it was JUST as awesome the second time around). So my day was great.

But that's all in the past! Let's get to the right now. First up, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, the yap is large and in charge over at Book Lovers Inc.,plus you could win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate by G.J. Koch (yes, that's moi), so get over and get entered to win! While you're there, check out Book Lovers Inc.'s Pre-Summer Winner Post as well.

Now it's time for reviews, and there are a lot today. See what Books-n-Kisses thought of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate. Then see what Feeling Fictional, Bob's Beach Books, and The Reading Addict have to say about Alien Diplomacy. Then check out what Single Titles had to say about The Disciple by Jemma Chase (yes, also Moi).

Last but not least, check out what Larissa's Bookish Life has chosen as her Favorite Book Quotes.

I'm getting additional panels added on for Phoenix Comicon so keep your eye on my, and everyone else's, schedule so you don't miss out.

CONFIRMED: The bookstore for Phoenix Comicon, The Poisoned Pen, will have EARLY RELEASE copies of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate available at the con. So, definitely don't miss out -- get your copy early AND get it signed by the me!

That's it for today, but never fear, more's always on the way. Until then, peace out, my li'l gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Gini

Comedic Musings

Happy Thursday! Hope everyone's been enjoying their week and eyeing the start of another great weekend. I'm eyeing my second viewing of The Avengers and potentially my first viewing of Dark Shadows, but before I head off into cinematic delight, let's get caught up on all that's going on around the interwebs.

First up, head over to Staffer's Musings where there's a new, cool, and different kind of interview with G.J. Koch (yes, moi) combined with a book review that's large and in charge. There's also a chance to win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate, open internationally.

Losing track of everywhere you can go to win a copy of my newest bookie wookie? Look no further than right here, at the Blog Tour page.

And the winning doesn't stop there. Head over to author Monique James' website and get in on the Book Demolition Derby Scavenger Hunt. You can win a ton of books from a variety of authors, including Alien in the Family from yours truly.

After getting in on the scavenger hunt, head over to Heroes and Heartbreakers where Heather Massey of The Galaxy Express fame is talking about Moms of the Future including our own Kitty Katt-Martini.

Then check out Rachel Brimble's interview with Alien Collective Member in Very Good Standing Jessica Subject.

For those of you coming to Phoenix Comicon, make sure you find me or my table in Author's Alley somewhere during the con. Why? Because I have special postcards from Musa Publishing that will entitle you to a free copy of Penumbra eMagazine AND two free books, including When Josie Comes Home by A.E. Stanton (yes, that's also moi). That's a lot of free in one postcard, but that's just the nice kind of folks they are at Musa. So be sure you don't miss out on this opportunity to see the me AND get the free!

That's it for today, so I leave you with one last thought. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and those who cover mom roles out there. May your day be filled with all the good things, including great books to read.

Love,
Gini

The Yap Visits the Buckeyes

Hope everyone survived Monday and that all y'all are having a wonderful week. Did we all race out and see The Avengers? I hope we did, 'cause it was AWESOME! I'm going back for my repeat viewing on Mother's Day, 'cause that's EXACTLY how I roll. But before I spend the rest of this discussing how epic and awesome and perfect The Avengers is, was, and forever shall be, let's get our own bad selves assembled and get caught up on what's going on.

First off, the yap is large and in charge over at A Buckeye Girl Reads where we're talking Alexander Outland: Space Pirate. You can enter to win a copy of said space pirate adventure, too, so don't miss out! And yes, it's open internationally.

Remember that there are lots of ways to win right now. In addition to the winning at A Buckeye Girl Reads, you can still enter to win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate from Bastard Books and I Smell Sheep, both also open internationally. And speaking of international winning, you can still win the Aliens in Armani, the German language version of Touched by an Alien, from Anima Libri Buchseele. Or, if you prefer, you can win an English language version of either Touched by an Alien, Alien Tango, or Alien in the Family from the English language side, aka Anima Libri Booksoul.

Then, see why Night Owl Reviews made Alien Diplomacy a Top Pick!

I'm totally and completely confirmed for San Diego Comic-Con! So, if you're going, or going to be in the area, let me know so we can hook up! And don't forget to make plans to hit Phoenix Comicon later this month! So many cool chances to see the me, how can you resist?

But wait...there are MORE! I'll be visiting the Queen Creek Writer's Group on June 12 to teach World Building. And later in the month, 'cause I love me some San Diego and Mysterious Galaxy, be sure to visit on June 20, when I'll be doing my Split Personality Summer Solstice signing as both Gini and G.J. Koch. Will I sign one with my right hand and one with my left? You'll have to come to the signing to find out! (A reading from Alien vs. Alien could happen, too...you never can tell.)

That's it for today, but stay tuned, 'cause there's always more on the way (including my Desert Dreams recap). So, catch you on the flip side, my li'l gangstas, and let's be readers out there!

Love,
Gini

Bilingual Winning Weekend Update

Hey there! Hope everyone's having a lovely weekend and all prepped and ready for the week ahead. As my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, there's enough going on this weekend that it just couldn't wait until Monday, so let's get to it!

First off, we have my second ever bilingual interview, complete with giveaway. This one's in German, so all German peeps, head over to Anima Libri Buchseele and check out the interview. You can also enter to win a copy of Aliens in Armani, the German language version of Touched by an Alien.

Don't speak or read German? Not to worry. Head to Anima Libri Booksoul, read the interview, get entered to win a copy of either Touched by an Alien, Alien Tango, or Alien in the Family.

Speaking of winning, there's still time to enter to win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate by G.J. Koch (yes, Moi), from both Bastard Books, through May 12th, and I Smell Sheep through May 11th.

After you get entered to win all over the interwebs, check out what Dirty Lab Coat thought of Alien Diplomacy.

My schedule for Phoenix Comicon is up. Take a look and make plans to come to see not just the me, but all the other massive coolness we have planned for this event. It's truly gonna be HUGE!

It's not confirmed 100% yet, but there's a VERY good chance that I and the bookstore at Phoenix Comicon will have advanced copies of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate on hand and ready to buy. So, don't miss out on getting your copies early -- make plans now to come to the signature pop culture event of the Southwest!

Sheep in Space

Happy Friday! As my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, we have a short and sweet one that's also a fun start to the weekend for you. So let's get right to it!

Head on over to I Smell Sheep where the yap is large and in charge and talking about Alexander Outland: Space Pirate as well as Pluto's status, Peeps, what big things we like, and the ever-popular Rapid Fire. There's also a chance to win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate, which is open internationally, so don't miss out!

The Alexander Outland giveaway is also still open at Bastard Books, so hit 'em both and double your chances of winning!

That's it for today, though there's more coming over the weekend. And speaking of the weekend, have yourselves a wonderful one, and let's be readers out there!

Dastardly (Change the D to a B) Deeds

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and that you're all eyeing the start to another great weekend coming up. Desert Dreams was awesome, and I'll give you the full round up on that later on, but not today. No, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, today we have a lot going on and I want you all to get right to it!

First up, head over to Bastard Books where I'm running the show today with my take on funny...and where I also take on Sir Bastard and his evil ways. Truly, not to be missed. AND you can enter to win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate, by G.J. Koch (oh yes, that's moi), so definitely don't delay. The winning IS open internationally, too!

Next up, it's time for some reviews. See why Romance Junkies gave Alien Diplomacy a Top Pick, and check out what Bibliognome thought of Alien Diplomacy in a dual review. And see how Alien Proliferation scored as a Top Choice at Flamingnet.

Then, check out what books My 5 Monkeys would most like to see turned into movies or TV shows.

Reminder that I'll be at Phoenix Comicon, where new celeb guests are being added what seems like every day, later this month, over Memorial Day Weekend. The schedule's still being adjusted, but rest assured, I'll be there the entire time. AND, it's looking like if YOU'RE there, you'll be able to score an EARLY COPY of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate. Yes! I know! The bookstore and Night Shade Books are working it out right now, but it looks quite likely that those coming to the con can score my next bookie wookie early AND get it signed by me at the same time. It's too happy to be true! So hopefully it remains true. I will, as always, keep all of you posted.

That's it for today, but never fear, more's coming just around the corner. So, have a great one and let's remember to be readers out there!

Love,
Gini
