Well, the Gods of Random have spoken and the winners of the coveted Hook Me Up! Exclusive Alien Diplomacy ARC Contest have been chosen.

As is their wont and their quirk, the GoR smiled both on those who commented a lot and those who commented not at all, proving again that the GoR live to be capricious.

So, with appropriate drum rolls and fanfare, we give you the winnahs!

I know everyone's waiting to find out who won the Alien Diplomacy ARCs, but I gotta tell you -- it takes TIME to log in over 1,600 blog comments. I, personally, am thrilled with the response. The Team Gini member who drew the short straw and got stuck being the one to log all the Blog responses in so the Gods of Random may begin to make their choices, on the other hand, hates many of you with a burning passion. But she'll get over it.

Writing as G.J. Koch, I've just sold Alexander Outland: Space Pirate to Night Shade Books. The book will release in paperback and ebook formats June 5, 2012.

Trouble’s brewing out in space, and Alexander Outland -- the least likely hero in the galaxy -- and his eccentric crew have to save the day, despite the fact they’d prefer to take the money and run.

Now, for our TusCon recap. First off, yes, yes, more swag has come home just waiting for me to have a chance to parcel it off into prize packs and start the heralded ComboCon Contest (say it once, say it twice, say it three times). But I do owe y'all a recap. So here goes...

Got to panel with some very cool authors including Patricia Briggs, Jeff Mariotte, Marsheila Rockwell, Carol Berg, David Lee Summers, Emma Bull, Janni Lee Simner, Sam Sykes, and the Lovely Miss Yvonne Navarro. Plus there were tons of other awesome authors and artists there. And a good time was had by all. In particular, a good time was had at dinner. At a specific dinner, to be exact.

I give you: My Dinner With Patty.

Patty Briggs and her cool hubby, Mike, invited me and Marcy Rockwell to join them at dinner on Saturday night. Before you get too impressed, we went to the Denny's close to the conference hotel. But hey, still fun, right? Right. Most of the gang going walked over, but Marcy and I had panels later in the evening so we drove. We drove, but got there last. Hey, I had to go to the room and change shoes. These things happen.

As any of you who've met me at a con or a signing know, I tend to wear my favorite cowboy hat during in person events. My pink, sparkly cowboy hat. Don't believe me? Check out Extra Me! and call me a liar.

So Marcy and I trot into Denny's, me in my hat. We see Patty and company nowhere around. But before we can look for them, a waitress barrels up to us. "Ma'am," she snarls, "you can't come in here wearing that hat."

I stared. Marcy stared. "Excuse me?" I mean, what else do you say, right?

"You can't wear that hat in here!" She's dead serious. In fact, everyone around her -- busboy, other waitresses, customers -- all look dead serious, too.

Honestly, my first thought probably wasn't what everyone else would think. I'm from the Mean Streets, and my first thought was, 'What kind of gangs do you HAVE around here?' The only time I've ever been or seen someone tossed out because of headwear is due to gang signs.

Marcy and I exchange the classic WTF look. "Um, what? You're saying that I can't wear a cowboy hat in here?"

"That's right. It's DENNY'S POLICY." She's still snarling. The busboy is indicating he's ready to toss us out if we don't immediately comply and I take my hat off. Marcy and I exchange another WTF look. She's thinking there's no way in the world I'm exposing my hat hair to the world (true 'nuff). I'm thinking that we're not going to get to eat because I have no strong belief the restaurant is going to serve us due to my evil gang affiliations, no matter where the hat goes from here.

I turn back. "But it's a cowboy hat." I have nothing other than stating the obvious at this point. "You're saying I can't come in because I'm wearing a cowboy hat in TUCSON?"

At this point, I'm wondering if I can find the gang I supposedly belong to and get them to do some kind of protest here -- we of the Pink Sparkly Hat Gang will not be denied, sort of thing -- when the waitress starts laughing her head off.

"No, no! I'm just fooling with you. Your friend told me to do it." While she and the rest of the restaurant gang crack up, she leads me and Marcy back to where Patty, Mike and the others are. "She fell for it!" the waitress shouts to Patty. "You should have SEEN their faces!"

At this news, Patty and the others start busting their respective guts with laughter. Yes, it's true -- I was punk'd by Patty Briggs and a Denny's with the best actors on the planet working there. Patty's the coolest, isn't she? Ashton Kutcher's got NOTHING on Patty Briggs! And seriously, if any of those Denny's folks are reading this, you're wasting your talents -- head to Hollywood, pronto.

It was a really great con.

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I had a great time at the Fall Writer's Workshop, running the yap and listening to the wonderful Amber Scott and Caris Roane, and it was great to see some of you there as well! It's a short (in the U.S.) but busy week, though, so enough of the past, let's get back to the future!

The Yap Fights Through

Well, I'm back from TusCon and have many wild stories to share. Which I was going to do earlier in the week. Only, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, my wireless somethingorother (technical term), in a bold move destined to make me want to tear my hair out and actually cry, gave up the good fight and died. Leaving me with no internet connectivity.

WELL.

We'll all pause a moment while the enormity of that situation descends on everyone.

Horrified moment of silence over, I'm still awaiting connectivity at the Casa and am currently huddled at the Chicklet's Bachelorette Pad attempting to get some, you know, work done. Laugh with me. There is no chair in the study at this precise time, and my netbook cannot, despite everyone in Tech Support's best efforts, connect wirelessly over here. So, I and the SHORT ethernet cable are making do. The sacrifices I make to keep all of mah darlings up to date just don't bear contemplation.

But what does bear contemplation is the tonnage that's going on this week. I was going to parcel it out for you, but under the less-than-stellar circumstances, you're gonna get it all in one go and like it. So, on with the countdown...

Well, I planned to send this out hours ago, but, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, my PC had other plans. Nefarious plans. Time-wasting nefarious plans. But that's all in the past! Hump Day Roundup

Hope everyone had a great week and weekend while I was away at World Fantasy Con! It was great, and I came home loaded with books. Scads of books. Cascades of books. Books which will be going out to some of you as prizes in the upcoming Combo Con Contest. Of course, as we all know by now, that contest will be for my Hook Me Up! subscribers only. However, I'm dashing off again, so don't have time to start the contest yet. But don't despair -- I'll probably be home with yet MORE books or other goodies to add to the ever-growing Pile O' Swag I've got building up.

(No, he's not "that" Christopher, though he said it was okay if y'all thought of him that way. ;-D) Check out Blogging with Badger where Chris shares his untold joy with his new position, particularly with his introduction to the Canine Death Squad. (Okay, that may just be how I'm choosing to see it, but it's my party and I'll fantasize if I want to.)

CopperCon Recap

I'm back! Yeah, I know, I was back Monday night. But, um, well...I was busy. Unpacking, checking the new swag that'll be part of the next Hook Me Up! exclusive contest, and generally collapsing, in between writing and editing like a fiend.

But, couldn't leave you without the CopperCon recap, now, could I? Okay, yes it's me. I could. But I won't. See how good I am to you?

This is a smaller but quite engaged and engaging con, with a lot of fun panelists and attendees. After Comic-Con, which is so huge and frenetic, it's nice to hit CopperCon and get to hang out, relax, and just do it. (No, I couldn't resist the Frankie Goes to Hollywood tie-in. Sue me.)

The word of the con (per my posse, at any rate) was: Mollusks. This was especially fun on the Writing Erotic Fiction panel.

I got to run the yap quite a lot, which we all know I live to do. I also got to panel with some awesome authors and one musician. In no order of their awesomeness, I rocked and rolled with: Marsheila Rockwell, Jeff Mariotte, Jacqueline Lichtenberg, Carrie Vaughn, Janni Lee Simner, Emily Devenport, Janeen O'Kerry, David Lee Summers, Chris Swanson, Jack Mangan, and Darren Reale.

Also got to see and hang with some awesome Alien Collective Members in Very Good Standing (waves madly to Anna, Penni, Raul, Terry, and Vaughn) and got to meet new friends and teach them the Alien Way. All in all, a lovely con, even if I didn't get enough sleep by far.

I've been signing contracts.

As I've hinted around a little on Twitter, I have some exciting news to share! I've just sold several works to Musa Publishing. The first one, "The Royal Scam" will release October 1st. More to come on this, including blurb and cover art as they're available, but please mark the calendars now!

As many of you know, I write under a variety of pen names. So, to make it easy to keep track of what's coming from whom and when, allow me to introduce the Author Splash Page. Now when you enter the website, you'll choose where you want to go and what you want to look at, but, never fear, all roads lead back to the main site.

Happy Monday! I know, I know, it's been ages. But hey, Comic-Con takes a lot of time and focus because it's hard to get all the swag without a plan. And, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, boy, did I come home with swag. Loads of swag, bags of swag, cascades of swag. So much swag that I can't launch the Comic-Con Swag Packs contest today...because I'm still trying to figure out how many packs, what's going where, and how much awesome in one box will cause bodacious combustion.

I'm sure I missed a plethora of other things going on these past two weeks, but here's why. Comic-Con. 'Nuff said, right? No? You want more? Okay, here goes...

First, if you haven't checked out the majority of my pics from the event, hit the Alien Collective Virtual HQ. If you're not a member of the official fan site yet, well, why not sign up and start yapping on the Forum?

In brief, this was my schedule:

Wednesday: We hit Preview Night and scored some cool stuff from Penguin. Got more stuff from and cased the Exhibit Hall.

Thursday: We made it into the Covert Affairs, Psych and Ringer panels in Room 20, and scored some cool swag. Hit more of the exhibit floor, and got much in the way of swag, including signed things. Lunch with excellent authors S.G. Browne and Savannah Kline (buy their awesome books!) and the rest of what I've dubbed The Cool Crew (*waves to Dan, Tim, Antonio, Casey & Rose*). Toured Conan O'Brien's art show dedicated to...himself. (This was essentially for Coco fans only. Those of us who swing Leno, Letterman, Kimmel, Fallon, McHale, Handler, or Tosh 2.0 were left a little, um, nauseated.) Back to the exhibit hall for, yes, more swag.

Friday: Screwed up and missed Blue Blazes, which I'd been looking forward to seeing; but did make it into Kung Fu Panda where James "Lo Pan" Hong stole the show and the entire audience's hearts. Then saw the launch episodes of the new Thundercats which was, in a word, AWESOME and which had, hands down THE most excited, invested audience of anything we saw. More exhibit hall then off to the Penguin party which was very cool. Then Ghiradelli's with The Cool Crew.

Saturday: We scored Hall H! Which was awesome, but derailed any plans to see anything else, in part because, thanks to AC Member in VERY Good Standing Shelly, we got 2nd row seats, front and center. So we saw Francis Ford Coppola and Val Kilmer showing Twixt; gazed upon the full gorgeous cast of The Immortals (Kellan Lutz should never speak his own lines, seriously, and it really seemed that Stephen Dorff was on very close terms with a lot of pot, but Freida Pinto was lovely, Luke Evans was both hot and bright, and Henry Cavill will make an awesome Superman as long as he can manage an American accent) and, yes, it's true -- for some reason, I took no pics during this panel, and I can't tell you why, but they were all picture-worthy, so you'll have to see The Immortals to make up for my lack. We then saw the awesome cast of The Knights of Badassdom which included Ryan Kwanten, Summer Glau, and (my fave!) Peter Dinklage -- this movie is my "must see" from the Con, because it looks hilarious and speaks to my D&D, LARP, fangirl soul. We also saw the full cast of Snow White and the Huntsmen which included Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth (who, sadly, kept his shirt on), and Sam Claflin; Charlize is hilarious and this movie looks very interesting. Next was Dorothy of Oz which boasted Patrick "Capt. Picard" Stewart's first visit to Comic-Con AND we got to sing Happy Birthday to him, led by Megan "Wicked" Hilty (this panel also featured the most inappropriate "question" of the Con, which I won't repeat, but I guarantee the asker was bodily removed and potentially beaten). Last, but not least, we got to end our Hall H time with Kevin Smith, who is hilarious and thoughtful and incredibly, undeniably cool without trying to be cool (and yes, I was, and still am, in total fangirl mode).

Sunday: We visited the exhibit hall because we didn't have enough swag to choke a herd of elephants yet; caught the Allen Gregory panel that included Jonah Hill and French Stewart (everyone was hilarious so I recommend giving the show a try); then it was time for my panel, and I got to sit in between Vernor Vinge and Timothy Zahn -- our panel was packed, and it was great fun, PLUS I got to sit between Greg Bear and Michael Cassutt for the signing! (All of them are lovely, awesome gentlemen and I heartily recommend their books.) Major love to all who came by to say hi and/or get books signed, including Sasha, Kai, and Dan, with a special shout-out to Corey, whose luggage was lost and who not only bought new clothes, but a new set of my books to be signed (Corey -- you...complete me :-D). Then it was back to the exhibit hall yet again. And then...it was over, done, kaput, so long until next year.

I realize upon reading this over that it seems like we were nonstop. We were. But the sad part is, I KNOW I'm forgetting things we did, stuff we saw, and people we ran into. But that's how it goes when you're hanging with 125-160K of your nearest and dearest. Was it awesome? It was. Is it nice to be home? It is. Can I hardly wait for next year? You even have to ask?

This Is Radio Comic-Con

Well, "Alien Diplomacy" is safely with DAW and we're heading to Radio Silence as I head off to Comic-Con. Unless you're following me on Twitter (@GiniKoch) and then you should hear from me a lot. I also plan to send photo updates to the Alien Collective Virtual HQ on a regular basis, so you can keep up with things there, too.

While the Fates have ensured that I won't see Nathan Fillion in the flesh this time around (his panel is at the same time as mine...coinkydink? I think not! I call it an evil conspiracy to keep us apart), I expect to see buckets of cool and come home with bags, scads, and cascades of swag. So, start salivating now, because the Comic-Con Swag Pack Giveaway, Year 2, will be starting once I'm home (early August). I Ain't Ded

Happy Friday! As some of you know, this blast header is a line from one of Terry Pratchett's Discworld books. For those that don't, it still works. I know I haven't been around much, but what can I say? Finishing up books takes time, focus and concentration. However, I'm happy to report that the beta team and crit partner seem pleased with "Alien Diplomacy" and that should be heading off to DAW next week.

Of course, there's been lots going on that I haven't caught everyone up on because, well, been writing. But, let's rectify that, shall we?

I've been quiet, because, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, I've been busily working away on "Alien Diplomacy". But the blogosphere never sleeps, so let's catch up on what's going on out there!

This Saturday, I'll be participating in a virtual book signing event thanks to Calico Books in Denver, as part of their Sizzling Summer Author Extravaganza. Check it out, attend in person if you're in the Greater Denver Metro Area, and listen in at Carra's Blog Talk Radio if you're elsewhere! The event runs from 11am-2pm Mountain Daylight.

Happy Friday!

I know, this is coming out on Saturday for some of you. Hey, better late than never, right? Right?

As promised, we have recaps and winners. Recaps first. Phoenix Comicon and Arizona Dreamin' were great! Now, on to the winners.

Both cons WERE great. I got to hang out and panel with a variety of awesomely cool authors at Phoenix Comicon, including but not limited to: Marsheila Rockwell, Jordan Summers, Kevin Hearne, Yvonne Navarro, Cherie Priest, Jennifer Ashley/Ashley Gardner, Ravyn Crescent, Michael Stackpole, and Robert B. Sawyer -- some of whom did actual play-by-play updates (so, um, go read their very interesting blogs!).

Also got to see a ton of awesome fans - hugs to all who were there (and thanks again to Heidi for getting me a LB&C from Einstein's and thereby saving my life - Browncoats to the rescue!) - hope you had as good a time as I did! Pictures are inching their way onto the Sightings page, too. (And if you have some to share, send 'em along!)

Arizona Dreamin' was also totally cool. I got to hang out with more awesome authors, including our own beloved Amber Scott, Erin Quinn, Erin Kellison, and Janeen O'Kerry. (If you haven't read their books yet, what are you waiting for?) Fans were all readers, and they were all just a joy to be around, making this event very fun from an author standpoint. We're doing it again next year, so if you missed this year's event, do NOT miss 2012's!

Roundups and Winning

Happy Hump Day! Well, I've been promising two things -- recaps of my NYC trip and LepreCon and a Hook Me Up! exclusive contest to give away all the stuff I picked up in NYC and at LepreCon.

The memory is a bit fuzzy, since I've been working nonstop on first getting "Alien Proliferation" edits done and in to DAW, and then working on getting "Alien Diplomacy" finished, but here are the highlights!

Had a great time in NYC and surrounding areas, but the best times were seeing Alien Collective Members in Very Good Standing all through the week, leading up to the big day in Grand Central Terminal, with the book signing at Posman Books, and at dinner later. The food was great, the company was better! Thanks again to everyone who came out -- especially because you did it in the very heavy rain. And, I don't think it's bragging to say that Posman sold out of every copy of my books. Thanks SO much to all of you who made that happen!

I also visited a variety of editors, and got my hands on a variety of books. But more on that later...

LepreCon was a lot of fun and they kept me nice and busy. Got to run the yap a lot, sign books, share the first sketch for the cover of and read excerpts from "Alien Proliferation". (Reminder to those in the room: No sharing those spoilers!)

I also got to hang with the awesome Marsheila Rockwell, as well as be on panels with the hilarious Christopher Baldwin, the ever amazing triple-threat Seanan McGuire, new author Kevin Hearne, the always fun Michael D'Ambrosio, the sweet Janni Lee Simner, the fun and snarky Chris Swanson, as well as many other awesome authors and fan panelists. (I have to stop listing folks...I was on a LOT of panels!) Plus I got to see several Alien Collective Members in Very Good Standing (waves madly) for more than a few minutes, which was great.

Oh, and I picked up posters. Movie posters. Huge ones, large ones, regular sized ones. Lots of them. Tons of them. Cascades of them. But...more on that later...

Well, why wait, right? I've got Poster Packs. They include such gems as "Black Swan", "Your Highness", "Twilight", "Saw", "Legion" (because you can never see that shot of Paul Bettany's abs enough), "Limitless", "Priest", "Green Hornet" and more, so very many more. And books? We have books, too.

So, what's a girl to do? Why, give them all away, of course! There are going to be a variety of poster packs up for grabs, many of which will include books. Yapping with Author Diane Dooley

Today we have one of the most fun folks in the galaxy with us, Agent Z from the Galaxy Express! She’s also a newly minted author writing under the code name of Diane Dooley. Because the Galactic Police are after her, and we want you able to find her books, we’ll refer to her by her code name from now on.

Diane, welcome to the Blah, Blah, Blah Blog, where the men are all handsome, the women are all gorgeous, and the yap runs wild and free.

I’ve come to the right place!

You have indeed! Before we get into the interview, I’d like to catch those who might not know up on all that is Diane. She was born in the Channel Islands and grew up in Scotland. After many years of bumming around she finally settled down in Upstate New York, where the summers are short and the winters just might just kill you dead. She lives with her best friend/husband, who can’t fix a damn thing, and two obstreperous boy children in a falling-down farmhouse in the sticks. She is very happy.

When she is not writing science fiction, romance or horror - sometimes all in the same story - she can be found chasing after her children with a big stick, geeking out with her husband, working a full-time job, indulging her addiction to Youtube or, most likely, with her nose deep in a book.

Isn’t she cool? So, without any more delay, on to the burning questions!

Q. What prompted you to become a writer? Was it voices in your head, a burning desire to tell a story, or just too creative for your own bad self?

A. Heck, no. I’m in it for the money. Really. I was a stay-at-home mom with a workaholic husband, the above-mentioned falling-down farmhouse and two children with an unrelenting (and perfectly understandable) desire for expensive Star Wars toys. I decided to get rich the easy way by banging out novels. Just because I’ve spent more on printer paper than I’ve made from my writing is besides the point.

Q. Money? There’s money in this? Wait a minute…oh. The agent says it comes ‘in time’. I assume that means it’s heading to us from a galaxy far, far away. But, onward. Writing styles -- outline or wing it, music (and what kind) or silence, chaos or serenity, only novels or other lengths as well?

A. Usually I’ve got something brilliant worked out in my head before I even start writing. It turns into something mediocre as I type it all out. Then I whip myself into a frenzy of editing and polishing until I’ve got something halfway decent. Then I send it off to a prospective victim/publisher and wallow in margarita-fuelled misery until I hear back.

Silence? What is that? If I waited for silence in my busy household I’d never get a thing written. I don’t listen to music while I write because music is too important and takes up all of my attention (see above-mentioned Youtube addiction.) I DO listen to music to get me in the mood for certain types of scenes. Here (http://dianedooley.wordpress.com/2011/02/19/sexy-songs-for-writing-sex-scenes/) for instance, are some of the songs that help me get in the mood for writing sex scenes.

I write in all lengths, from flash fiction to novels, and in a variety of genres. I wish I could say that I follow my muse, but I actually think it’s more like attention-deficit disorder.

Q. Soul sister! I knew I loved you. Your first Science Fiction Romance novella, Blue Galaxy, is going to be released…TOMORROW. So, in honor of your big release, give us the ol’ author overview.

Falling in love is easy; staying alive long enough to enjoy it just might be impossible.

Javan Rhodes, the hard-drinking, disreputable captain of space freighter The Kypris, took a mission to save himself from hitting the bottom of the food chain. Transporting Sola, a beautiful young aristocrat, from Earth to an unknown destination on the outer rim of the colonies is lucrative, but also highly illegal.

As tough as it is to evade both the law and the lawless, the hardest part of the job is not falling in love with his irresistible cargo. Just as he decides that he will never be able to hand her over to the warlord she must marry, he discovers that Sola has been playing a very dangerous game—one that could not only cost them their lives, but could also affect the balance of power in an increasingly dangerous universe.

Basically, it’s sex and violence. In space. With Greeks.

Q. You speak my language. Next up, can we have an excerpt?

Javan shuffled in the dry dust, covering a smattering of blood he’d missed.

The group finally navigated around the bots and cargo pallets and stopped in front of him. He noted the ultraviolet of the protective devices beneath their pale blue cloaks, though the light was barely visible under the harsh Greek sun. He offered his hand to the nearest Blue. The group regarded his hand but did not turn off their protection—except one. A slight figure stepped to the front and placed a hand in his.

“Captain Rhodes?” she said in a low voice, giving him a firm handshake.

He nodded, distracted by her soft golden skin.

“My name is Sola. I am your cargo.” She pulled the blue hood away from her face, revealing sparkling brown eyes, and stared with such fierce intensity that it shook him.

She smiled.

And Captain Javan Rhodes, gazing on what had to be the most exquisite face in the entire universe, felt his heart twist as he fell instantly, irrevocably and most definitely in love.

Q. Way cool! Sounds hot already. So, what’s it like, going from running from the Galactic Police to becoming a published author? It is like joining the Establishment or are you still keepin’ it gangsta?

A. Myself and Agent Z are currently embroiled in a fight to the death over who is in charge. Every now and then she finds she has a strange urge to can up homemade apple sauce and bake artisan bread. Every now and then I find myself wanting to annihilate every tentacle monster in the galaxy. We’re trying to work out a custody agreement. Liberal applications of gargleblasters keep us both happy.

Q. What’s next for you? Sequels, prequels, something different, heading to Disneyland?

A. Went to Disney, had a short but passionate affair with Goofy, he was marvelous. Next up is the second episode of the Blue Galaxy saga, followed by two contemporary romance novels. I’ve got a couple of horror short stories coming out over the summer. After that I’ll probably look up Goofy again. He was THAT good.

Q. Wow, I always knew Donald Duck had it goin’ on, but Goofy was a well kept secret. Until now. Goofy, who knew? Other than you, I mean. Other than your torrid affair with Goofy, what’s one fact about you that someone who didn’t know you well or hasn’t read this blog wouldn’t know? Make it juicy -- my readers expect.

A. Okay, Gini, you evil wench. This is you getting me back for all those awful questions Agent Z asked you, isn’t it? Okay, here goes: There was once a man I had fallen madly in love with. He seemed to like me too, but spent an awful lot of time and energy running away and avoiding me (I can’t imagine why!) One night in a bar I slapped him hard in the face and demanded he take me to bed. And every year on our anniversary, that we fondly refer to as Slap Day, I give him a sharp one to the jaw and we fall in love all over again. The End.

But first, and the main reason I couldn't wait to send this out to you -- I checked when I got home and *drum roll, please* "Alien in the Family" hit the Barnes & Noble bestseller list, at #43, in its first week of release! *Let the happy dancing begin!* Thanks to all of YOU who made that happen!

Well, I'm still back on the east coast, but, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, that doesn't mean things are quiet on our Alien front. There is, as always, much going on!

Many pages on the website have been updated, at least, so Team Gini assures me. I haven't had time to actually look, but I trust them. (And as I think of it, hope they haven't added something really strange somewhere, like pictures of me when I first get out of bed or something. Nah, I'm sure I'm safe...)

Happy Friday! Having a great time in and around New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia -- wish you were here! (Waves madly to Rich, Stacey, Michele, Marnie, Katie, & Gerrie, who all know why.) No, really, I do. But before I tell you what my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, ergo, the latest reason why I wish you were all here, let's get to what else is going on.
