Comic-Con Swag Pack Theme Four: The Poster Pack

HOOK ME UP! EXCLUSIVE CONTEST

As my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, it's all about the wall coverings in today's Swag Pack. So much so that the large tube I used to get the majority of these puppies home was so heavy I could use it as a weapon. (Whether I did or not is a blog for another day.)

The Poster Pack contains, of course, tons of posters. So many posters. So many COOL posters. Some are signed. True Blood, Vampire Academy, Archer, Sapphique, Stan Lee, Torchwood, KISS Kompendium, and so many more. Big posters, medium sized posters, small posters. And comics. Let us not forget about comics. 'Cause they can roll up, too, and therefore, they are a part of this Pack. Buttons, temporary tattoos, and other things that can slip into the middle of a long tube are also in here. Know what else rolls up? That's right -- t-shirts roll up. The Limited Edition "No Ordinary Family" t-shirt is part of this pack, as is the Sarah Connor Chronicles tote bag.

So tell me -- what room are you going to wallpaper with all these posters, and why?

Not on Hook Me Up! yet? Bummer for you. Rectify that error right now, before it's too late to get in on this contest. Send an email to gini@ginikoch.com with "Hook Me Up!" in the subject line, and you'll be all set to get into the running for the Super Swag!

Love,
Gini

3ft hearts posters. I'd totally wallpaper his room with these. And really how can you, Auntie Gini, say no to CAAB?

And because "second is the best" and as mentioned as a previous argument why I deserve one of the Swag Packs I figured I should continue it's tradition. :D

I'd also be willing to donate copious amounts of delicious baked goods to get the Poster Pack for 3ft! He needs it to go with his Iron Man, Metroid, Battle Force Five, and Star Wars the Clone Wars posters.

I'd also like to take the time and another comment to mention that 3ft has a newly discovered love of tattoos. And not only would be ever so excited for a poster-filled tube that weighs more than him but it would be the icing to the poster cake to have tattoos too.

He's got his heart set on this pack. You wouldn't want to break his little cute as a button heart would you? :D

If I won this pack I would definitely wallpaper my bedroom with the many posters.

Doing this would be great because then my walls would be cool and not the hideous peach color they are now, a horrible color I liked when I was four but not so much now. :)

Blogger Lisa Dovichi said...

@Becky -- Peach is at least a color imagine being five and having boring ol' white walls...

Which clearly means I should get it MORE. :P

I would drive to New Jersey and wallpaper my 54-year-old brother's room as a surprise! He's been collecting comics since... since... wow...always, so at least 44 years. It would really freak him out. I'd have my hubby take him somewhere then me and my sis-in-law could do his man cave with them. He has comic books and games up the walls, originals from when we were kids. It would be awesome!!! Love my bro.

In fact, I love my brother so much, that if I won something, I would rather win this for him than anything for me that I put in for.

Stan Lee...really? He would so drool over that. OH! I could take pictures of him when he first sees it like on the Home Makeover shows, or the Man Cave redo show on DYI network. Then I could post the pics on photobucket, facebook etc. so you and everyone else could see his face. Or a video on youtube--better.

My bribe idea so you all can't steal it--too late --- I thought of it first! Mah-ha-ha!

If I got these poster packs I would wallpaper them with my bedroom. Why? Because I'm pretty sure my Mom would kill me if I touched any other room. Plus as I already have a few posters up in my bedroom I can say it's really enjoyable to just lie in bed and look at how lovely they are. Nothing like waking up to Sookie and Bill! :)

Why should I win? Because I know I would fully enjoy this sweet swag! I love True Blood, as mentioned before! Am also a fan of Archer, how can I not love a show that has the voice of Couch McGuirk? Plus the show is super funny! Also love Torchwood, I even got an action figure of Captain Jack! And I'd totally Kiss Stan Lee at night or tell him my comic book ideas and thank him for creating Spider-Man and Mary Jane! I'd totally pack my Sarah Chronicles tote bag full of emergency apocalyptic things like water and freeze dry food in honor of the series! Oh and the comics, I'd love to get some new comics! And buttons and temporary tattoos, all of it I'd eat it up with a giant spoon of awesomeness!

I'll decorate my office with them. It's where I often write and my husband's lone original 1977 Star Wars poster needs some company! I shall also, of course, give my adventure hearted son first choice.

@Cindy: If I win, I shall share my swag with you because I LOVE the idea of surprising your brother. But, I'd want it on video, possibly on youtube.
Fair?

My office is always filled with sci-fi posters. I could always use some new ones. My youngest has the original Star Wars posters in his room after a friend gave them to him. He's lucky I don't steal them off the wall and claim ignorance. LOL! Who knows what he could get on eBay for them?

These posters will take places of honor in my office right along with the Alien prints, Aliens, Avatar and tons of my own covers. You do have yours in poster form...correct? If not, you should. It's very inexpensive to get posters done at Vistaprint. I'll have to tell you all about it when I see you.

And yes, these totes are to die for. I can't wait to go next year.

Posters! Awesome!! I haven't posters hanging around since I was a kid...so you'll be giving me a chance to relive my long-lost childhood if I'm the lucky recipient *insert angel smiley here*

Mrs. Wyrm says her mouth is watering at the idea of having all those posters and would be willing to do anything (that's not too illegal) in way of improving our chances.

AND...I will proudly wear the t-shirts around and tell inquiring minds that I got the cool swag from Gini Koch, the author of Touched by an Alien and Alien Tango - adding in that they really should read those books if they haven't already ;o)

Wow, let's see.Vampire Academy poster would go in my older daughter's room (18 y/o). There would be a fight between my 18 y/o and my 14 y/o for the True Blood poster. I would definitely want Torchwood and the Sarah Chronicles tote bag. The youngest is currently in a poster/picture phase.

Ok, so I THOUGHT I was only interested in the swag packs that included books....and then I read the description for this one! YOU HAD ME AT ARCHER!! And tote. And comics. And t-shirt. AND STAN LEE! Ok, you get the point. As for whose room I'd wallpaper, I'm going to have to say mine...because I'm selfish like that! HA! Just jokes; I'd share equally with my sisters. Most likely. ;-)

Blogger Cass said...

True Blood & Vampire Academy would be birthday presents to my friends... Archer, Stan Lee, Archwood, KISS Kompendium --> Circulate around my family. :) And Sapphique will be just for me. Quite the giver, aren't I?

Oh, and I'd keep the t-shirt and tote for myself, since those kinds of things are for keeps. Hah. Unless I find an avid fann of either of those.

I want the reader pack. What would it do for the authors everywhere for me to win it? Why, the universe would shower them with good things, angels would be rejoicing, they would instantly win the lottery, achieve enlightenment, and find parking places right in front of wherever they were going! What could be better for them?
Win win all around, I say.

@Amber -- look at you trying to get extra "goodie good" points by offering to share the swag!

I'm on to your game sister!

I want this pack so I can also have the poster tube to use as a sword so I can have epic battles with my 5-yr-old in his newly postered room!

(Ha! Talk about being creative and using the WHOLE swag pack for good!)

Okay. I changed my mind. Rather than have my office splattered in movies, I'm going to paper our playroom in it. And since I love the ceiling idea, we'll go there, too, once Cindy's brother has been surprised with his portion.
@Lisa: work it, work it. ;)

Hmmm....everyone is using kids and younger siblings to sway the vote and I'm at a serious disadvantage :o(

However, I am a kid at heart so feel I'm justified in trying for them too...and Mrs. Wyrm really, really, really likes posters.

Amber -- not kidding! And Thanks I really would drive all the way to NJ and surprise redecorate his man cave and film for YouTube. He is the avid collector, you know, comics in the plastic sleeves, don't get your finger prints on them.

I don't get to see him much. Him and his wife came to visit for a week this past June. It was great as it had been five years. He said it was my turn next. Wow what a surprise it would be huh?

I am a poster applying ninja warrior! I would stealth-post a different poster throughout the house to surprise and scare my entire family. Posters would show up in closets...behind shower curtains and on the insides of cabinet doors. Winning shrieks of glee or terror will keep said poster. This is why I should win this pack!

So let it be written....so let it be done!

Mrs. Wyrm says I'm not commenting nearly enough so stopping by to let you know I (and by 'I' i really mean 'we') are desperate to posters.

We're not big into decorating so have plenty of wallspace for all the posters the swag provides. Heck! We'll probably swap the posters around to different rooms at varying times so no walls feel unloved :oP

August 11, 2010 at 5:13 PM

Mrs. Wyrm also says I should do some cheers, like Lisa D, because it would really show the desire.

The desire I got. The urge to cheer in public? not so much :oP
