Love,
Gini
LEGALESE

«Oldest ‹Older 1001 – 1200 of 1618 Newer› Newest»
@ducknme -- hahaha don't worry. I have the same problem. Well not the cooking thing... Just the weight.
@Shanna: mmmm…. Yummm. Just not the cheese (yes, I am a freak – and the only one in my family – who dosen’t like cheese.)
@Cody: Australia IS pretty awesome. It’d be fun! If only anyone had the $$! :P
@Kelly: does this mean I’m forgiven for throwing you under those buses?
@Jesse Ivanhoff - It would be cool! Then we could all sit around and chat about Kitty's latest misadventures!
@Kelly -- good god. I think I just gained forty pounds drooling over those recipes.
Heck! ratkin could even come if the Home will let him loose!
OH MY GOODNESS! KELLY! YUM! YUM! YUM!
@Jesse Ivanoff -- yes it would be nice if any of us were rich enough to fly the others around. LOL
And don't worry. My brother doesn't like cheese either. He will only eat it on pizza. My dad's fault for trying to make him eat a mouthful of spray cheese when he was five which he then proceeded to throw up everywhere.
@All - Hey I've got an idea. We can sell a cookbook with all these mouthwatering recipes and with the royalties go visit each other!
Ah well, it's a dream....
@ducknme -- Hahaha ratkin is definitely also welcome. As long as the antipsychotic drug prescription has recently been filled.
@Cody Calahan - His boiled water recipe will be the center piece of our cook book!
@Ducknme: I know. It'd be sooo awesome! But, now we all know your email we can totally harass (umm...compliment/suck up to you) all the time! (And chat about Kitty!)
hehehe.. could you imagine ratkin in person? hilarious!
@ducknme -- I think that is a great idea. I have all my mom's recipes as well. It would be the greatest worldwide venture ever attempted. To write a cookbook from literally across the world.
@Ducknme: If only we made billions of that cookbook....
@Cody Calahan, come on, if you want the good foods there has to some sacrifice. Would I love to be a size zero? Sure, but if it means living on plain salad for the rest of my life, I would so turn it down!
Here's another contribution to go along with all these desserts.
My Coca Cupcake Drink Recipe
- 1 Ninja drink maker (or something to crush the ice to a snow/slushie consistency
- However much UV White Cake Vodka you like in a glass
- Then pretty much add Coca-Cola until it tastes sweet enough for you.
Final Result= Pretty darn tasty :)
@jesse Ivanoff -- BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I don't know why but picturing ratkin in real life makes me giggle.
@cody: so, you gonna share 'em? :P yay! I'm not the only freak! I too like melted cheese but that's it. the end. its quite sad really. :(
@Jesse Ivanoff, you don't have to save up for 100 years, all we have to do is win the lottery! LOL, I mean, it could happen?!?
@Jesse Ivanhoff - I think all you have to do is click my name and my profile should come up with a way to email me anyway. Harass away!
@Cody: It so does. You can just picture him!
@Becky -- sounds great. Youre invited on this venture as well.
Well, from what I see, a vast amjority of us have blogs on here, we could stay in touch via them...
@Becky - It'd be a coke slushie for me then. Aside from a little wine once in a while I can't seem to develop a taste for alcohol.
@jesse -- yes. I will post some probably tomorrow when I can get to them in the light of day.
@Shanna: I agree. Food is worth almost anything! and we could totally win the lottery! absolutely! XD
@Cody: I forgot it's night where you are...
@ All - Email would be better for me I keep fogetting about my blog - I'm just not a good writer.
@Shanna: never have I regretted not having a blog more...
@shanna -- true. Just one lottery win and we are set.
Also true about having blogs to stay in touch.
@ducknme: awesome... here's an email now:
@Jesse Ivanhoff - Yep it's about my bedtime so I don't fall off the freaking mounting block again tomorrow!!
@Cody - Nice well that would be quite the road trip/a long trip with me living in Nebraska. :)
@ducknme Yeah, Coke slushies would also probably work well with the Ninja drink machine I have. I don't drink a lot either my sister and I were just making up drinks for New Years Eve. :)
@Jesse Ivanoff, why don't you start one, it's easy
@jesse -- Just gotta send an email to ducknme and then she can relay your contact info to us invade you don't wanna post an email addy on here.
I had to remind myself you were gonna be waking up around 3 pm our time. Lol
@Ducky - I'm actually a lot more mobile than you might imagine. I make use of the new Porta-Rat System (patent pending).
@Cody, @Shanna - True we should all check out/stay in touch via each others blogs. Especially when we all review the ALIEN books/ARCs :)
@becky -- no worries. Jesse is coming from Australia. Lol
@Jesse - I got it and it's saved in my contacts!
@Cody - Sir, you offend my dignity! I most assuredly do not take antipsychotic drugs. What you be the fun in that? Someone on Facebook posted a graphic that said, "We do not embrace insanity. We French Kiss it, feel it up, and then invite it for a drink." I'm adopting that as my new motto.
@ducknme -- I have the opposite problem. I drink other alcohol but I can't quite seem to develop a taste for wine as much as I want to like it.
@Ducknme: night! DON'T FALL OFF!
@Shanna: I probably should, but I'm lazy and technologically retarded. :(
@Cody - The only thing that I take as a maintenance drug is a powerful laxative. Without that, I'm too full of...interesting ideas.
@Cody: yeah, I didn’t wanna post online in case of span, so I’m cool with ducknme giving it out to you guys privately! I know, the time difference boggles the mind, doesn’t it? I mean, this contest finishes on the 23rd my time!
@ratkin - Great! You'd be fantastic to have at the party!
Don't let Nurse find your Port-A Rat system though, I'd hate to have her turn up!
@All - Several people have mentioned keeping in touch once the contest is over. Has anyone (other than me) considered that we could use Alien Collective Virtual HQ as a vehicle for that???
@ratkin -- hahaha great point. It's obviously been working for you so far.
@Ratkin: you mean highly insane.
@Ducky - And it's expensive, too! Think about the combination of a walker and a Segway...
@Ratkin: now that you mentioned it...
@ratkin - there's a great thought! and if you don't want to use that then contact me. I'm good with it!
@Ratkin: why not just use a walker or segway for cheaper than?
@ratkin -- HAHAHAHA almost blew sprite out my nose.
And yes the Alien HQ is a good idea. But eventually we will all become amazing friends and will have to keep in contact other ways as well.
NOW I'm for bed! I'm pretty sure I've worn out my exclaimation piont key too! (See, there's another one....)
@Jesse Ivanoff - You can just kill a new gag in about 4 seconds, can't you??? Where's a handy bus when you need one??
@Ducky - You're worn out at 9:15?? Have you considered Geritol? It's after midnight where I am, and I'm still kicking.
Literally.
@ducknme -- nighty night!! Get some good rest.
@Cody,
Red Velvet Cheesecake is my favorite thing ever....
But the Coconut Macaroons... YUM!!!
@ ratkin -- seriously makin me LOL.
@all -- my turn for bed. Guess I need geritol also. Haha night all
@kelly -- ya... gonna try em both.
I know right @jesse...
When I win.. I will make and share with everyone.
*Leaves some lovely mixed drinks for the Gods of Random.*
I had an Orange Creamsicle tonight..
SO good...
Orange Soda
Half & Half
and Whipped Cream Vodka..
SO GOOD!!!!
@Kelly, that sounds great. :)
hands an Orange Creamsicle to @becky
And sets one down for the GoR..
Well, i'm headed to bed. Night All!!
*drinks Orange Creamsicle and does a happy dance*
Wow, the Gods of Random will be full of booze and sweets. Hopefully that's a good combination. :)
@Shanna: Night! sleep well. (I take it we'll talk tomorrow, so until then!)
@Cody: " "
@Becky: I'm liking your drinks. I think the Gods of Random, booze and sweets are sure to be a good combo!
@ratkin: the buses all belong to me. Mwhahahaha suffer!
@Kelly: I might be able to actually stomach you (possibly) winning if I get to put some of that deliciousness in my stomach!
@Becky...
Then they should be nice and happy....
Thanks @Jesse....
I think that if I win I am good with you winning too...
:)
@Kelly: that's nice! <3 truce?
can you guys believe we've posted over 1000 comments?! and we still have just over 1 day to go? it's pretty darned amazing!
but. It's early night over here, which means it's really late night/super early morning for you guys, so I assume not much else is going on so! time for my haiku!
Kitty’s adventures
Take very long to get here
ARC would be faster.
Ooooh...a truce between Kelly and Jesse. How touching!
**Ratkin races for a bucket, one hand covering his mouth**
@ratkin - It was not 9:15 it was 10:15. I know that's still early, especially for a Friday night, but the short person I put to bed at 8:30 was gonna get up at 6, and I don't do mornings well.
@ratkin - Even WITH the powerful laxative you are full of "interesting ideas".
@ducknme -- I'm right there with you. 10:30 was the latest I made it. When everybody gets up at 5 you gotta sleep when you can.
@jesse Ivanoff -- I think it's crazy how many comments we've posted. Kind of awesome.
@ratkin -- I don't know why but I always thought you'd be a girl. Makes more sense now that I know you're a boy.
@Cody - Oooh! Now you did it! I accused ratkin of being female once and I bearly came away with my life!
@Cody and Jesse - All of these comments are wonderful, but I wonder how Gini is going to find time to read them all. Maybe she is a super fast reader like Shanna
Well, off to riding lessons! I WILL overcome the mounting block... someday.
@All - I have to tell you about the conversation my hubby and I had when I told him I invited you all over for BBQ.
Me: Oh, honey, I invited a bunch of perfect strangers over for BBQ.
Him: Okay. When?
Me: Not tonight.
Him: Okay, let me know.
And that is why I love him.
@ducknme -- I was just ring honest. Didn't mean any insult by it but I'm sure I'll get blowback about it.
BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! That's awesome. Means he trusts your decisions. Brendon was chill too.
ME: A girl in Utah invited us over for dinner.
BRENDON: Utah?
ME: Yeah.
BRENDON: Cool. I have family there we could visit also.
@Jesse,
Truce? Well as long as we both win we are good...
@ratkin... Are you jealous???
@Cody.....
BWHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
Poor @ratkin....
@ducknme.
What a great guy....
*Brings the Gods of Random an afternoon snack of popcorn*
From Diplomacy to cookbooks - it seems the Gods of Random are really active this week.
OMG Random will be busy soon --Look at all the comments. Pick me and offers coke
Oh moving, how you suck! Shaw Cable sucks to! I don't want to be without internet except my cell phone! I deserve an ARC for going without internet for however long I don't have it, LOL!
So, how goes everybody's saturdays? Doing anything fun? Besides not helping me move that is.
@Shanna - I'm going to a Zac Brown concert tonight. I'm planning to have a blast.
I know it's not Kitty's type of music, but I like just about everything and my hubby loves ZBB.
@shanna -- sorry I couldn't be closer to help. My Saturday blows. We are currently sitting at a park... Watching Brendon's nieces play... When I could be reading or something. LOL
@Ducknme: lol: your hubby sounds awesome.
@Ratkin: you are so jealous. maybe you too could have truces if you worked on your people skills! :)
@Ducknme: good lick with that riding block! I'm sure you'll overcome it! (and since you tried, you deserve an ARC, yeah? ;)
@Shanna: I take it the moving is going well? XD at least you have internet on your phone...
it's actually Sunday over here, and it's OK but I have to look after my little sis. Aghh! I'm with you Cody: so many better things to be doing (especially reading!)
Maybe Gini's got amazing loyal followers who'll help her read our many posts?
@jesse -- true true. And I don't want to be rude to his family but I'm SERIOUSLY bored. LOL
This comment has been removed by the author.
@Kelly - Jealous? Of you? Jealous of Kelly? No. Not anytime in this lifetime.
@Cody - Unlike Ducky, you get a pass on the 'wrong gender guess' issue. Why? Because my initial guess was you you were a woman, too!
@Cody (again) - Let me clarify that a touch. I'm so used to this blog being women, women and more women that I assumed - - despite the fact that every person I've ever met named Cody was a guy - - that you were a woman.
When the first four things that hit you are hammers, you figure that the fifth one will be too, even if it looks like a pillow.
@Ducky - Don't worry, kid, I still like you - - even if you crap out early and spend an inordinate time worrying about rug rats.
@All - Since nobody has posted a recipe in a while, I was going to treat you to the instructios for Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches. Unfortunately I seem to have misplaced the Olde Family Recipe.
@Jesse - I'll have you know that I have worked extensively on my people skills. It took decades of aduous labor, but I was finally able to snuff them out.
@ratkin -- I totally get that. I originally thought Jesse was a boy but when I found out she was a girl I guess I placed everyone in the girl category. I think it made the senior home and psychiatric ward comments even funnier if they were about a girl. Still funny about a guy though.
@ratkin -- I AM gay though so that's not too far from a girl. I wouldn't have been offended either way. LOL
Granted most people who meet me think I'm straight until I say, "Something, something ... My boyfriend and I." I don't get it. I would peg me as gay instantly. Hahaha
Hum I was very diplomatic when my boss decided to retire end of March and I was told I couldn't have his job since I don't have a bachelors degree. Just keep in mind I have been doing his job when he's off or on vacation for almost 10 yrs. I didn't quit I just decided I'd get my degree and go work for someone else.
@pamk -- you go girl. Show em who's the real boss.
@Cody: you thought I was a guy? </3...
@Ratkin: and you did a very good job with the destruction of them. Now we want to see if you can build them back up!
@Jesse - Look up a Rick Springfield song called "Jessie's Girl."
@Pam: at least you now have the degree so no-one can tell you that you don't deserve the Job that you do!
@Jesse - ...or Jesse James. Not a girl.
@Ratkin: I do know that song, and I know that my name's unisex, but... I don't sound like a guy... Do I? wait... why am I asking you?
@ Jesse - Jesse Ventura? Not a girl.
maybe I should change my sign in...
@Jesse - There are very few uses for people skills in The Home. Half of the residents don't know if you're a human or a space alien even if they get around to realizing they're not alone in the room.
@Jesse - Nah. How about Jesse "The Girl" Ivanoff??
@Cody: I'd have thought you were gay... maybe it's just that I automatically assume that the guys who read the same books I do are gay... but it was true in your case! <3
@Ratkin: but think of how happy you'd make the staff who cook for you! maybe they'd even do MORE for you?!
@Jesse Ivanoff -- BRIEFLY!! You don't sound like a guy. I just assumed. But I like your name and think you should change it back.
@Jesse - ...or Jesse "Just look at my picture. Oh wait...I don't have a picture!" Ivanoff?
@Ratkin: Dude! I don't have a blog or fb, or twitter or myspace or msn. And yes, I am one of the weirdest people of my generation but I like my privacy! I know people who were stalked via facebook. :( So, if you want a picture....
@Jesse - The real trick would be if they could possibly find a way to do LESS for me. Most of the staff around here like to play Pin the Tail on the Residents, only with syringes instead of a tail.
@jesse -- good job. I rarely find guys who read the same thing as me also. Especially cuz I read like a teenage girl. LOL
@Cody: thank you. :) I will/did. too much work to change it now anyway. :P. all my family have unisex names: Nikita, Jo, Nicki..
@ratkin: poor you! I'd feel sorrier for you if you were nicer though...
@Cody: lol. is true though! XD a lot of women however also read YA books, so...
@Jesse - You're preaching to the choir. While I'm on Facebook, it's under a completely phony name. And the picture you see is actually me but a large number of decades and fifty pounds of wrinkles and grey hair ago.
@jesse -- true. Don't wanna confuse the GoR. Good thing their brilliant and omnipotent.
**offers the GoR a shopping cart full of different kinds of alcohol and mixers.**
@Jesse - I'll keep that in mind in case I ever want you to feel sorrier for me.
@jesse -- why do you think I tend to get along with girls better? We have more in common.
@Ratkin: that's smart. ok! well, how 'bout if you ever want to trick the home so you can escape! You gotta be nicer (or just nice) then! and I figured you weren't a 6-8yr old boy!
@Cody: true. the GoR are amazing, brilliant, fantastic and any other kind of awesome adjective you can think of! *leaves donuts and hot chocolate*
@Jesse - If you want a little bit of an "Awwwwww..." factor, look closely at that (admittedly small) picture. I really was a choirboy! That white you see is the starched white collar that went over out choir robes!
@ratkin -- unless you plan to carry that picture around with you to prove your "awwwwwww-ness", you prolly gotta listen to Jesse on the interpersonal skills.
@Ratkin: it give's "preaching to the choir" a whole new meaning! Cute! (although, unless you'd told me, I never would have guessed. I'm not religious in any way. :P) naw! so how did a choir boy manage to squash out his niceness?
@ducknme, Almost any concert is awesome just for the experience! My first concert was Alice Cooper, and I have to say, he puts on an awesome show. I'm with you about the music though, I'm very eclectic with music, I'll listen to almost anything. Sticking with just one genre is boring, and you never know when you'll miss some amazing new talent!
@Cody: thank you! that's what I've been trying to say! (he dosen't seem to be listening though... ;_;)
@Shanna: you're absolutely right. One genre gets soooo boring after awhile and everything starts to sound the same. :( good thing there are so many different music (and book!) options out there!
@Jesse - Life spent a few decades smacking with an Old & Wrinkled stick.
@Shanna - My first concert was Chubby Checker.
@Ratkin: how sad. maybe... you should look at the bright side? you ahh at least LOOK older and wiser now!
@Shanna, ratkin and ducknme: I've actually never been to a concert. I've been to comedy concerts though! :)
See, you folks can leave the Gods of Random all the miscellaneous goodies you want - all the food will be cold, stale and inedible by tomorrow night anyway. My "in" is that should give me the ARC because I probably don't have enough time left to wait for the release date, and I want to read "Alien Diplomacy" before I croak.
@Jesse - I'm the polar opposite of you, concert-wise. In the dim and distant past I was a professional rock critic for ten years. I've been to literally hundreds of concerts. And no, no hearing loss.
@ratkin: well, since it takes even longer to get to Australia, I should totally get an ARC! by the time it gets here, I could have been hit by a bus! plus, it comes out in America in April, which is my birthday. the GoR should totally um... give one to me as a birthday prezzie! :P
@Cody Calahan, yes, because I'm sure you'd rather be helping me move than slacking off watching a couple of kids play... Also, what's the weather like there? It snowed about 7 inches today and it's about -27 C outside.... Wanna trade?
@ducknme, your husband does sound awesome! Does he have any brothers? Cousins maybe?
@Jesse Ivanoff, ditto what I told @Cody Calahan, wanna trade? You can finish moving me, and I'll babysit your little sister!
@Cody Calahan, @ratkin, I knew from the beginning you were both male (I was going to say boys but decided against it since @ratkin would probably whine) and @Jesse Ivanoff, I knew you were a girl from the beginning, ignore the others!
@Cody Calahan, just wondering if you feel the same way James does in the book about 2 baldies in a relationship being gay?
@Ratkin: that's actually really cool! I'm totally jealous! Are you sure about the hearing loss? they say hearing gets worse with age...
@Shanna - I don't whine. I kvetch.
@Shanna: I'm SO up for a trade! she's been whining about her "bloon" (balloon) that she was in no way gonna get for an hour now! she's about to kill me! Thank you! I'm much more confidant in my gender now. And go you for remembering/asking about the baldie comment!
@Jesse - Positive on the hearing loss. There's a long list of organs and appendages that are no longer doing their part towards my happiness, but the ears still work.
@Ratkin: really? 'cause I've definitely been hearing a distinctively whiny tone...
@Ratkin: well, again you're the opposite to me! everything but my ears work well!
@Jesse - Really??? You hear when you read? Have you spoken to a doctor about that?
@ratkin: hahaha. funny. No. I don't hear very well when people speak or when the T.V's on or whatever. it isn't debilitating since the operation when I was 7, but it's still not great. :P
@Cody Calahan and @Jesse Ivanoff, I read a lot of YA books too. I mean, what makes a YA book a YA book in the first place?
@ratking, Chubby Checker? That's kind of sad and yet awesome at the same time, LOL!
GoR, please, accept this small pittance on my behalf (leaves steaming hot Stuffed Crust pepperoni pizza, official Margherita Maker machine, endless supply of ice, mix, and alcohol, as well as a bag of movie popcorn with the butter layered in it, and the sure fire, cure-all super secret hangover remedy).
@Shanna: exactly! YA's good no matter your age!
@Shanna - Would it be less sad if I mentioned that I also saw Elvis, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Peter Frampton, Elton John, Billy Joel, all four Beatles (although not together), KISS, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago and The Beach Boys, among many others??
LOL, I just realized I added a G to the end of @ratkin's name and now its rat king! Danced in any ballets lately? Bwahahaha
@Shanna! LOL! that's hilarious! (then again, he does act like a rat king...)
Hey! @ratking, I said somewhat sad (in that you're that old, lol) and yet awesome (in that it would be cool to have seen him). And I'm jealous at all the bands/ groups/ singers that you've seen.
@Jesse Ivanoff, Didn't he have a porta-rat system or something going on earlier in the comments?
@shanna -- here in Chandler, AZ it was about 70 today and breezy. It just dropped though and got windy.
Hahaha I love a bald guy. I don't know why, but sometimes bald is sexy. And two balls in a relationship wouldn't bug me one bit.
@Shanna: he most certainly did! ;)
@jesse and shanna -- I concur. YA is almost always a great story to read.
@Shanna: it may be cold where you are, but it's too hot for me here! (still wanna swap?) I have to do exercise in this! I'd much rather it be cooler!
@Cody: absolutely!
@Jesse and Shanna - I you check over at Alien Collective HQ, you'll see that I've already mentioned that most of my internet friends abbreviate my name as Rat or Ratty.
@Ratkin: I do not think that that's something to be proud of. However, it is you we're talking about so...
@Jesse - As I mentioned, my friends call me that. You can call me ratkin.
@Cody Calahan, mayhap you should reread your comment about bald guys? Mwahahahahaha! "And two balls in a relationship wouldn't bug me one bit"!!!! I sure hope it wouldn't seeing as how you're gay!?!? LOL, too funny!
@Cody - I've also read a fair number of YA books, and plan to read some more. I like Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin books, and now plan to try her YA Frost series.
I like Patterson's Maximum Ride books as a concept, but his practive of having 'chapters' that are about ten sentences long gets tiresome.
@shanna -- AHAHAHAAHAHAAHAA!!!!!! Stupid auto correct. Two balds!!! My bad. But yes being gay if hope there'd be FOUR balls.
@ratkin -- oooooh!! Jennifer Estep's sound good. I'm gonna check them out too.
I wanted to try the maximum ride series, but I read his witch and wizard book and got six of all 900 chapters in his 200 page book. LOL
@ALL -- do any of you guys have a goodreads profile? I'd love to see your reading lists and recommendations.
@Ratkin: I'd be hurt if I cared.
@Cody: I as going to make one at some point in the near future...
@Shanna & Cody: LOLOLOLOLOL. @Cody: you'd hope so, wouldn't you!
@Everybody - Yeah I love reading YA books too. :)
@ratkin - Yeah I read most of the Maximum Ride books too and the short chapters really did drive me crazy too after awhile.
@Cody, Yep I'm on goodreads as Gecky Boz. I'm not all the way caught up with reviews on there but I do have some.
@jesse -- I know you're not into having online profiles, but goodreads is actually a fun way to build a collection of books you've read, write reviews and share with others. Plus you can keep a running list of books you want to read.
@becky -- I will try to find you and add you soon. I love finding more people who read the same types of things I do.
@Becky: I've read the Maximum Ride manga's, but I didn't really get into the books. I liked them but... y'know?
@Cody: yeah, I know GoodReads is different, that's why I'm eventually going to go on it. I write reviews for Readings at the moment, so it'd be nice to be on Goodreads.
@Cody, Cool :)
@Jesse, Yeah, the same thing happened to me when I read the series I really liked the first 4 or so and then it seemed to just be redoing the same story so I lost interest in the series.
@Cody - I'm on Goodreads as - - wait for it - - Ratkin!
@Everybody, if you're on Goodreads you should check out LibraryThing too. Pretty much just like Goodreads and like Goodreads you can win ARCs too every now and then.
@Becky: exactly! The mangas are good though. (maybe I'm just biased 'cause I like manga). I think the series is finishing this year actually.
@Ratkin: what a surprise! :O
@Becky - If you've read the YA version of Max, did you ever read his books that inspired them? They have Max and other kids, but the members of the flock are different. There are also two adults involved who didn't make it to the YA series.
