Happy November!
Thanksgiving happens to be my favorite holiday, and I look forward to it if I have a big group or small coming to the Manse, or if we're going out. Regardless of where I'm eating, I'm grateful that I get to be eating.
But I also like the feelings that surround the holiday. I mean, the food alone is worth getting excited for and I enjoy entertaining, usually in between writing like a crazed wolverine (yes, I will be doing that again this year, promise). Especially because Thanksgiving ensures that pumpkin spice everything will be available. Yes, it's true -- I love pumpkin spice everything (other than beer -- tried it, it wasn't for me).
I also enjoy the lead up to this holiday, even the shopping, because it's all about food and making things that, many times, you only make once a year. Yes, it's true, as the hubs can attest, I love to shop.
It's also true that, as always, we have a great selection for this month's READ THIS! as well as lots more, so, before we compare stuffing/dressing recipes and start the arguments for who makes the best pumpkin pies, let's get to it, shall we? We shall! |
