Exciting News Bulletin
I know. There was no "Happy Friday" blog, yesterday. Barely any tweets and nothing much at all on Facebook. What, had I forgotten all about you? Decided that there was no news fit to print? Been taken to Alpha Centauri for a tour? (Yeah, I only wish on that last one.)
Nope, nope and, sadly, nope.
As my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, I was on the phone all day. With my most awesome editor. Going over edits on Book 3 and discussing the Alien series in general (as in, "Oh, and then in THIS book I plan to do this and in THAT book I plan to do that" and all that good, fun stuff I get to do with my editor 'cause she gets it, gets me, and gets the series).
And yes, I could have waited until Monday to share. But I decided that the Hook Me Up! subscribers shouldn't be the only ones to know (albeit, they knew first).
So...
"Alien in the Family" has an official release date. *drum roll*...wait for it...
April 5, 2011! Yes! And you know what else? That's only four months after the December 7, 2010 release of "Alien Tango"!
And, wanna know what the whipped cream AND cherry on top of that news is? (Oh, I know you do...)
Daniel Dos Santos will again be doing the cover!
*Waits while entire Alien Collective does the rapturous Happy Dance.*
Book 4, "Alien Proliferation", has no confirmed release date yet, but y'all can consider that "Winter 2011" about covers it and place your bets from there.
Will there be more on Monday? Of course there will be! And will you know it first? Well, if you're on Hook Me Up!, sure you will. And if you're not...maybe you should get on it now. Send an email to gini@ginikoch.com with "Hook Me Up!" in the subject line, and be on the front lines of information. And you will, as is right and proper, hear it first!
Until then, happy weekend to all, and to all a good Alien Collective read!
Love,
Gini

My "rapturous Happy Dance" is a cross between the Bluth family chicken-dance and Shakira's 'Hips don't Lie' booty-shake... it aint pretty
YAY! Release date for 'Alien in the Family'! And so soon after 'Alien Tango'?! Way to feed our addiction Ms. Koch :)
Let the countdown begin!
Many congratulations! whoo hooo!
ROFL, I'm sure it's a great dance, Danielle. One day we'll all be at a con or something together and do the Alien Collective Rapturous Happy Dance TOGETHER. I imagine the video rights will go for a LOT of money... ;-D
And, thanks BL! I'm extremely excited. Can't wait to get to my edits. LOL
Too cool, very cool, beyond cool. Omigosh, SO cool.
*snaps fingers in a cool way* Right on, dawg. Coolness Incorporated, that's us. We're ROCKIN' the cool!
WOOT! So glad the same cover artist will be doing Alien in the Family! AND a close release date to Alien Tango? Past awesome onto fantabulous! Congratulations to it all!
(Yeah, I know I need to step away from the exclamation point, but it's so fun and sorta sparkly ....)
Yay!! *does happy dance*
Great news!
Brandy, I'm all over the exclamation point! It has its place, and it belongs around exciting news!
And yes, I'm SO glad DDS will be doing the next cover, too. *Envisions a whole line of Alien covers...drools...*
And see? Sully uses it, too! Go exclamation point! See? The exclamation point dance fits right in with the Rapturous Happy Dance!
Exclamation points are great when you want to express your emotions I think.
I totally agree! I think all the parts of speech and punctuation marks are there for a reason and shouldn't be dissed just 'cause someone else says so. (So there! I take the dramatic stand! LOL)
Hear, hear!
Yeah! LOL! Rock on, Parts of Speech! WE support you!
