Mass Market Paperbacks including the Blood Lust set from Penguin featuring "Dark Lover" by J.R. Ward and "Demon Moon" by Meljean Brook.

Honorable Mention 2 - You Complete Me

Set of signed, personalized Alien series posters, including Alien Diplomacy. Goes to whoever makes me tear up and go "awwww" the most.

That's right! 12 prize packs! It's too happy to be true! And every pack will have some extra goodies in it as well.

The boring stuff no one wants to read but really should:
Contest will run from Thursday, December 8, 2011 through Thursday, December 22, 2011. Winners will be announced week of December 26th. Winners will have until January 6, 2012 to check in; any prizes not claimed by then will be pulled back by the Gods of Random and a new winner(s) will be chosen. In order to share the loot at least somewhat fairly, once you win a prize, you're out of the running for any of the others. This an international contest -- as long as you're on Planet Earth, you can enter and win. You must have a deliverable address, though - no P.O. boxes. Prize may take 2-4 weeks to ship; it may take 6-8 weeks for international or longer.

Note for International Participants: Due to the heavy nature of the prizes, you may be asked to share in postage costs, determined by where you are and what you win. Book packs will be shipping in USPS Flat Rate Boxes, some poster packs will as well, some have to ship in a poster tube, so list your desired packs accordingly. If you have questions, send along with your entry.

Note: Contest is for Hook Me Up! subscribers only. Not on? It’s not too late! Send an email to gini@ginikoch.com with “Hook Me Up!” in the subject line and you’ll be in. Do it before December 22, 2011 to be eligible for this contest.

So, Hook Me Up! Gang, answer me these questions three:
1. Which pack(s) do you want the most and why?
2. Who's the bested author girl in the world? (*cough* be careful, this IS a test question)
3. What's your fave holiday tradition and why?

Love, Gini

Awesome, I shall get my commenting powers ready. :)

1.) I would love packs 1 and 9.Pack 1 because I've been wanting to read Dust, Pack 9 because hodgepodge is an awesome word and because I can never have enough books. I'd pretty much take any packs that I won because I've never been disappointed with a prize pack that I've won here. :)

2.) Well this question is easy to answer, you are of course because you write such freaking funny books and have so many great contests. :) :)

3.) My favorite holiday tradition is seeing what's in my stocking on Christmas morning and just the whole hanging around the house in your pajamas type of day that Christmas is. It's great just to be with the family that day.

I really like prize packs 3 and 4 but quite honestly, I would humbly accept anything that the most greatest author in the entire solar system has touched (um, that's you, Ms. Koch).

My favorite Christmas tradition is opening 1 present Christmas eve but for some reason my husband hasn't bought into it yet. I've stumbled across proof that it's an actual German tradition and not just my impatience. So I may have him convinced this year.

1. I'd love Prize Pack 3 or 4 because they both sound awesome (I'd especially love to win The Iron Queen or Goblin War) and I love getting new books.
2. The bestest author girl in the whole world is Gini Koch, who else?
3. My favorite holiday tradition is piling in the car with my sister and anyone else who wants to go and driving around town looking at all the Christmas decorations, then coming home and eating pumpkin pie, yum.

WOOT WOOT! Gini Contest time!!!!

1) I'm not picky when it comes to free books. I am open to any prize pack with books. No posters please as I just got my walls painted after begging my BF for it and he'd be a wee bit tiffed if I put up posters.

2) is there any question? any question at all? it has to be the positively fabulous, glowing, fantastic, creative, one-of-a-kind....*drumroll* GINI!!!!

3) I like christmas lights. But I'd never put any up myself as I'd like to live past Christmas and have a real threat of being electrocuted or burning my house down if I do. My family doesn't really do "traditions". We are all kinda pragmatic people and just take time to get together when it's convenient, exchange gifts and relax with each other :)

Thank soooo much for being sooo generous! You always have such awesome contests with all the nicest things :)

(p.s. this is version 4 as I am apparantly at war with 1) my phone, 2) my kindle fire and now, 3) my computer. How I managed to piss off all 3 major devices I don't know. And I will be sleeping with one eye open if you know what I mean)

also... posting this as erin (my gmail acct) and not as erinf1 which is the "alias" I gave in the e-mail. You can call me anything... just not late to dinner ;)

whoo hoo another contest

I would love packs 2,3,10 why because they are from my most fave author and she loves to give stuff away...

Why you are the bestest author I know out there in all the world and so not a trick question.

My fave holiday is Valentines day because growing up my dad did dinner and cooked it , did the dishes. I also love that I got to try new food. I got to try snails, and lobster, and fish eggs.. So thats my fave holiday and lucky me we got married in that month.

1. Prize pack #8. I'm a hodgepodge kinda girl.
2. After much (Gini Koch) careful and deep (Gini Koch) reflection, I feel (Gini Koch) the number one bested (Gini Koch) girl author is....GINI KOCH.
3. My favorite holiday tradition is one that I can no longer do. From 1976 when I got my drivers license until 2008, when my Grandmother passed away, I always took her out to look at Christmas lights and lawn decorations. It was our thing, just her and I. I miss it dearly.

1. Which pack(s) do you want the most and why?

ANY prize pack with books, why? Because I was once told that I have TOO MANY books. So I try to get as many more as I can in order to show people that there IS NO SUCH THING!!!! Yes I do read them all. I collect some, (Yours included) and the ones I don't collect, I take to my local used book store and trade them for......wait for it..........MORE BOOKS!!!!!

2. Who's the bested author girl in the world? (*cough* be careful, this IS a test question)

Um..........Do you really even need to ask that? My dear girl, YOU are the queen of wonderful girl authors so that would for sue be the best.

3. What's your fave holiday tradition and why?

I don't really have a holiday tradition, BUT, my favoritest Christmas memory was the year my daughter asked if I had gotten her that one favorite doll she wanted. I asked her why. She told me that there was a disabled girl, who wanted one, hanging on the 'give a gift to the less fortunate' tree at her school and if I had gotten her one could she please take it to school and give it. I let her.....and cried.......

My favorite author is Gini Koch! I actually have two sets of all of your books! One set to read and another to collect!
My favorite holiday traditions were making peppermint bark from scratch with my mother and looking at the tree after we finally finished decorating it! :) It was always a wonderful feeling of home and love! :)
Good luck to everyone!

2. Hmm best girl author? *scratches head* Well, there's this one kick ass Coke drinking comic loving gal I know. You may not of ever heard of her but she's bad-to-the-ass all kinds of sexy. I'll give you a hint...she would enjoy some "love in an elevator" *wink*

3. Fav tradition? That's a hard one, I would say making xmas cookies with my Mom but she's now bed ridden with her cancer and can't do much. So this year just spending time with her and watching Twilight is what we're doing. Going to be our last Holiday together so I'm not sure what the new tradition will be...yet.

Love you lady and thanks for being awesome. xoxox

1)The only pack that has absolutely no interest for me is #10(few vampires interest me- I know too much mythology). I have never been to a con so what kind of posters? For the con? Books or promos for gaming stuff or movies? What ? I really have no idea as I have never been to a con so what are we talking about? Maybe no packs with posters would be good…can someone help me out here about what kind of posters might be from a con? Love books! Can never have too many books as the 50+ moving boxes of overflow stored in my shed can attest.

2)Um, favorite authors as of currently date(subject to change without notice, in nor order of preference): you, Linnea Sinclair, Sharon Lee/Steve Miller, Tanith Lee, Andre Norton, Jacqueline Lichtenberg, P.C. Hodgell, Robin D. Owens, K.E. Mills, Michelle Sagara [West], Marion Zimmmer Bradley, Kristine Kathryn Rusch, Jane Austin, Alan Dean Foster(wrote 1st Sci Fi book I bought), Tolkien (mom read a self edited LoTR to me before I could read), Joss Whedon, Lois McMaster Bujold, Jennifer Roberson, Wen Spencer, Raymond Fiest, L.E. Modesitt Jr, Patricia Briggs, Tanya Huff, Sharon Shinn, H Beam Piper, Pamela Sargent, Midori Snyder, Charles de Lint, Judith Tarr, Kim Harrison, almost anything by Monty Python and various of the above authors Pseudonyms they have written under. Best I can do for a compact list. I can name secondary and tertiary levels of authors too. What can I say I’m a second generation Trekkie (both parents), I was sick a lot as a child (missed 2 years of school), we lived in rural areas, and we are a reading family.

3)MY favorite tradition is designing the ornament placement and light set patterns to maximize the chance of anyone seeing it of having a seizure. If I knew how to hack the computer chips for the lights to make patterns I would. However there must be allowance for the cats to have a place to hide under the artificial tree/among presents so as to have a good place to hide am ambush the dogs which while being blinded by the tree display try to scuttle by aforesaid tree. I am firmly convinced that my dogs think Christmas trees come equipped with ninja dragon guardians. One of my part Siamese cats (HG Wells) loves to nap within/ hide under/guard the presents/tree and defends it from all creatures approaching it, including touching the presents under the tree, unless they pay the toll(pet cat). Wells used to make hobby of chewing white, and only white power cords, which is why power to the tree comes in a orange extension cord. Also no breakable or possibly might mind if used as a kitty toy ornament within 2-3 feet of floor level as he has never bothered to climb higher than that. Christmas is the only time he will challenge his brother/littermate (Charles) Dickens as he keeps him away from the tree too. Otherwise he is the sweetest, gentlest cat I have ever had, but nothing and no one had better try to mess with his tree!

Do I win the prize for longest most rambling entry?

1) I would be thrilled to have any of the packs but one of the book packs would be awesome!

2) Well, I made the guy in B&N go into the back and dig Alien Proliferation out of the boxes that just came in...on the release day, LOL! So that would have to be you, Gini!

3) I have an elf costume with a hat and a neck piece that I put on my cat, Leo. He is so cute with his little ears sticking out! Watching him buck around trying to get it off is pretty amusing too, but I don't torture him too long and make sure to give treats after. And I like to bake Christmas cookies too...this year gingerbread men (especially since I had to go all over town to find the cookie cutters, lol!)

I'd take any of the packs (yes, I am a book slut - what are ya gonna do 'bout it? ;P but probably would prefer the pack with the most books... so maybe pack 3? trade ins?

my favorite author from start to finish would have to be:
#1: Gini Koch
#2.Jemma Chase
#3.Gini Koch
#4. Gena Showalter
#5.Maria V Snyder
#6.Gayle Forman
#7.Julie Kagawa
#8.Meg Cabot
#9.Sharie Kohler
#10.Gini Koch
yeah.. I think mebbe it's Gini Koch? What do you guys think? *YES* hmm... I thought so! :P

I don't really have a "holiday tradition* as such (and I'm super jealous of all of you who do have amazing wonderful awesome magical traditions - and very sad for those of you who are losing them or have already lost them - but back to you lucky bi***s that have awesome traditions. As fair warning, I'm telling you to sleep with one eye open and the other on the gun. You can't say I didn't warn you... :P) But when I was younger my entire family would pile into the car and go for hours-long tours of the streets to see the Xmas lights.
Have fun commenting all! (but know that I'll win! and if I don't... well, take my advise for those who have awesome/sparkly Xmas or holiday traditions. I'm just saying...) xoxoxo J

1. Which pack(s) do you want the most and why?
I'd want pack 3&10 the most. For 3, because it has the iron queen which i've been dying to read.(cant find it in bookstores, &its always borrowed by someone in libraries). For 10, because its paranormal romance books. need i say more? (;

2. Who's the bested author girl in the world? (*cough* be careful, this IS a test question)
For science fiction+romance, the best author would most definitely be Gini Koch(duh). I hate science fiction, with the ONLY exception of the alien series.(ps, looking forward to reading the royal scam too!:D).
For paranormal romance, i like Sherrilyn Kenyon.(I'll never tire of those Dark-Hunters, *gushes*).

3. What's your fave holiday tradition and why?
My fave holiday tradition is when my whole family gets together with our relatives for a reunion dinner(chinese new year). this is because my family isn't really close with our relatives(uncles,aunts&cousins) due to everyone's hectic work/school life. However, during chinese new year, we specially make time for a reunion dinner whereby everyone can catch up and chat and relax and play together. Heart-warming family talk, get it? yup.(;

&oh, i wish everyone an early merry christmas! :D

Prize packs I'd like? 1-4 or 9. I'm not into posters, they just end up collecting dust, rolled up in the closet. I'd rather someone else enjoy them.

Favorite author? I don't have only one Fav author, mainly because I like too many. :) But here's my partial list (aka the ones I can think of on the fly) in no particular order -- except the first of course ;) --

Gini Koch, Mercedes Lackey, Tamora Peirce, Simon R. Green, Jim Heins, Anne McCaffrey, Carrie Vaughn, Rachel Caine

One of my favorite holiday traditions is going out with my family and looking at all the Christmas lights. I love Christmas lights and its so fun to see all the different decorations.

Awesome contest!

1, 3 and 10. Why? Neil Gaiman. I don't need any more reason than that.

Bested author girl in the world is one who write hilarious and steamy books about aliens. Gini Koch. You might know her.

My favorite holiday tradition is going out to find a tree. I love having a real tree. It's an adventure, especially if there's a good tree farm in the area.

Oh boy what an amazing giveaway! Thanks! Here we go:

1- I would love prize pack 3 mainly because I love the Iron Fey series and am in the process of building up a decent library of books with strong female leads for my daughters to read when they get older.

2- My favorite authors would have to be: Gini Koch (and not just because of the contest), Veronica Roth, Rachel Vincent, and Jennifer Armentrout.

3- My favorite holiday memory... well this requires a bit of back story. When my hubby and I were celebrating our very first Christmas together in our tiny little apt we went and bought this light up start for the tree. Well, if you knew my hubby this would come as no surprise, but he managed to step on that star and break the piece that slides onto the tree branch to hold it up before it ever even touched the tree at all. Of course he refused to get another so for the past 7 years it has been my favorite (and now our children's favorite) part of decorating to laugh and watch daddy try to cram the star onto the tree and wrap branches around it until it sits straight. He does manage to do it every year though :)

3. What's your fave holiday tradition and why?
>There are several that I love, but some of my most adored include:

b. Families invite lonely people or those away from home to share their meal/home/holiday (airmen, students, co-workers, elderly neighbors, soldiers, recently divorced--whoever is lonely!).
c. Go around the table and each person says what they are thankful for. (Good anytime!)
d. Cooking and baking TOGETHER, as a TEAM (& sharing in the clean-up), followed by going, as a group, to one of the following: look at lights, long walk/hike, play flag football or other sport, karaoke (!), or ice-skating.
e. New one: Adults Deep-fry the TurDuckEn, with the kids on fire extinguisher duty. ;-)

I would pick prize pack 9, because you don't know what you will get until you open it and I love books, I am a book whore, aka Bootch. That is what myself and my best friend call ourselves.

I would also pick prize pack 10 because J.R. Ward and Meljean Brook write good stories.

My Favorite author is Gini Koch, I found your first book by accident and after reading it, when and go the next two books.

My favorite holiday tradition started many years ago. First with my sister. I buy her a special "sister: ornament. Sometimes it is a commercial one like Hallmark, other times its handcrafted. I now get my two closest friends ornaments too! It reminds all of us of our relationships and how lucky we are to have a sister or best friend in our lives. If reaffirms our bond and love for each other.

Happy Holidays and thanks for the giveaways!!

Which pack(s) do you want the most and why? I want the hodge podge package because I love the phrase "hodge podge", it's almost as good as whimsical, or whimsy. Plus I love surprises-- I NEVER peek at my christmas stuff:)

2. Who's the bested author girl in the world? (*cough* be careful, this IS a test question) Oh, I don't know-- it could be the author who wears a big ole cowboy hat, and her author friends play a prank on her at Denny's involving that hat. Who could that be?

3. What's your fave holiday tradition and why? Christmas Eve we eat snack and fun foods and play board games with our kids. We've been doing it before my youngest could even read--which was tricky--but now they are 11, 17 and 18- so it's cool. It's extra special for me because I didn't meet my husband til I was almost 30, and I'd been in an emotional abusive relationship before that where I'd given up on being happy and having a family. It ended, then he started stalking my ass--I met my husband when he drove me home from work and made sure my ex wasn't lurking around before I went into my apartment. That was 23 years ago. It took 4 years for me to get pregnant- so my biological clock was screaming at me like a banshee. To have three kids and a great marriage now STILL humbles me when I think back to those bad years. So, sitting around with my kids and husband on Christmas Eve, playing lame board games, and chowing down on junk food is the best EVER.

1. Which pack(s) do you want the most and why?

I must admit the honorable mentions lure me the most but I'd love anything but posters...thanks to years of horror conventions I need more posters like a swamp needs more gators.

2. Who's the bested author girl in the world? (*cough* be careful, this IS a test question)

Why that would be the magnificent Gini Koch, Goddess of Snark and Sarcasm, Mistress of Romance and Adventure

3. What's your fave holiday tradition and why?

My new holiday tradition is giving each member of my gal group a Gini Koch book starting with Touched by an Alien. Why? So they can love and enjoy it as much as as much as I did when I found it.

As for other favorite holiday traditions there is ... Pulling cats out of the Christmas tree because if there were Christmas pet Olympics, that would be a sport. It is truly amazing watching an 18 pound cat trying to scale a 6 foot artificial tree.

There is also find the Christmas balls the cats have taken off the tree and hidden. That one is interactive because as fast as you find and replace the balls, one of the wild bunch comes and steals them from you.

But best of all is going with my Bear to pick out a new Christmas ornament and then snuggling down on the couch with out fur babies to watch our favorite Christmas movie marathon: Die Hard 1 & 2, Christmas Vacation, Christmas story. 13 years and going strong!

1.I would love prize packs #3, #9 or #10. Those sound the best.

2. Who is the bested author girl? You, you and you. (Any questions?)

3. My favorite holiday tradition is getting up really early on Christmas morning, having breakfast and opening presents. We did it when I was little and now I'm starting the tradition for my daughter.
