Friday's Winning Roundup

Happy Friday! Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am, but before we get to that, can't leave you without all the latest news.

First off, contest reminders. The Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger Blog Award contest is going strong. If you haven't tagged in yet, hit Win Stuff, get the instructions, and go to town. I think a Fight the Fuglies Starter Kit AND an ARC of "Alien Proliferation" are worth fighting for, so have at it!

The Daddy Crazies contest is in full swing over at the Alien Collective Virtual HQ. Check it out and check in, get entered to win some more cool prizes!

Musa Publishing has their grand opening tomorrow! In addition to your being able to get "The Royal Scam" immediately, there will also be prizes and such being given away, so be sure to drop by.

Also, a reminder for all German and German-reading Alien Collective Members in Very Good Standing -- "Aliens in Armani", the German language version of "Touched by an Alien", will release from Piper Fantasy tomorrow as well. Get your copies, and someone let me know how it reads! :-D

Speaking of how things read, we have another early review of "The Royal Scam". Check out what Absorbed in a Book had to say about Book 1 of The Martian Alliance Chronicles.

Then, head on over to My 5 Monkeys, and check out her Top Ten Books to Reread and her shout out to Musa.

Then hit The Galaxy Express where they're doing an interesting series on Adventures in Sci-Fi Romance.

That should keep y'all busy until Monday. And believe me, you want to be paying attention on Monday. Trust me. You'll be glad to be paying attention on Monday. (Hint: another contest is starting on Monday, and it's for Hook Me Up! only. Wait, you're not on Hook Me Up! yet? Rectify now! Send an email to gini@ginikoch.com with "Hook Me Up!" in the subject line so you'll be all set for the next awesomeness.) So, until then, have a wonderful weekend, get down with your bad selves, and let's be readers out there!

Love,
Gini

Virtual Tour, Real Prizes

Happy Thursday! There's lots going on, and more over the weekend. But as you all know, I'll be at LepreCon 37 over said weekend, so gonna try to pack it all in here today. Thank me later. But FIRST...as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know...there's some exciting news.

I got word this week that Piper out of Germany will be coming out with the German language version of "Alien Tango" in April, 2012! That follows the German language version of "Touched by an Alien", retitled "Aliens in Armani", that's coming in October, 2011. So, German Alien Collective Members, get ready and get the word out!

Now, on with the countdown! First off, the KLB Virtual Tour for "Alien in the Family" is going strong. Someone's already won the prize from Dren's B-Spot, but other prizes are still up for grabs. So, don't miss the review and prizes from Ramblings From a Chaotic Mind or Nancy McGregor's Big Bad Blog. Prizes galore are up for grabs at Hanging With Bells! and The Order of Smut Vixens -- and I do mean galore! Books, swag, it's all there, so get over and get entered to win!

The Rest of the Tour:
5/6 Larissa's Life: Feature
5/7 Chena (Guest Blogging): Review
5/8 Aria's Dark Musing: Review & Giveaway
5/9 Mark Of The Stars: Review
5/10 Love2Read4Fun: Review & Giveaway
5/10 KLB: Discussion & Swag Giveaway

Don't miss out -- hit each of those blogs on their day and get entered to win all the awesome!

Other reviews are also large and in charge. Check out what Babbling About Books and Lynette's Two Cents have to say about "Alien in the Family". Then head over to Smash Attack Reads to see what she thinks of "Touched by an Alien". And check out what Ellie Garratt has for her Tuesday Teaser. And then check out what I Smell Sheep has coming for the month of May.

The Alien/Katherine "Kitty" Katt series is this week's Book Chat over at Bitten By Books. So drop in and share your thoughts on the series.

From now until next week, we'll be on radio silence (other than Twitter and possibly Facebook) while I get ready for and am immersed in LepreCon 37. However, on Monday, we have a treat -- an interview and giveaway with Diane Dooley, newly minted author! It's a cool, fun interview, and you can win her cool, fun book, "Blue Galaxy", so don't miss it!

Until then, get down with your bad selves, read some books, hit some links, have great days, and I'll catch you on the flip side! Peace out, li'l gangstas!

Love,
Gini

I'm blogging all week at the Penguin Community. My first blog, Why Aliens?, is up now. (The blogs tend to go up in the afternoons.) And, all posts should be reachable via this link. Please visit because it's important to show Penguin that we DAW authors bring in the peeps!

Sara's Urban Fantasy Blog has a Holiday Giveaway, which includes "Touched by an Alien." The signed "Alien Tango" giveaway at The Amber Scott Project is still going on through Dec. 15th. The signed "Alien Tango" giveaway at Larissa's Bookish Life is going on through Dec. 17th. And the "Alien Tango" giveaway at Reading on the Dark Side ends TODAY, so get those entries in!

Don't forget that the Hook Me Up! exclusive Combo-Con Contest is still going strong through Dec. 15th. Not on Hook Me Up! yet? Don't delay, send an email to gini@ginikoch.com with "Hook Me Up!" in the subject line and get in while the winning's good!

And now for something completely different. Check out my interview at Coffee With a Canine for lots of intel on me and the Canine Death Squad. Lots of pics, too. (Look! There's parts of my messy house! The hubs' butt! And more! LOL)

Done with the break, let's get back to the books and such! About Happy Books has a lot of Alien related love going on at her blog. Check out her bookmarks, favorite books of the week, AND she sent me the news on the German version of "Touched by an Alien"...coming Oct. 2011 from Piper, I give you..."Aliens in Armani"!

The Iriarte Files has a review of "Alien Tango". DAW Books Review has an interesting comparison between new release "Trolls in the Hamptons" and "Touched by an Alien". Oil Color Palettes has a shout out to the cover for "Alien in the Family" and the awesome Daniel Dos Santos. And a big WOOT! for the fact that Of Science & Swords Bookstore in Melbourne, Australia just announced via Twitter and Facebook that they've already sold out of "Alien Tango"...and it was only on the shelves at noon their time!

In Person Event Reminders:
December 8, 2010 -- Writer's Workshop Wednesdays at Borders Waterfront, Scottsdale, AZ, 7PM-8:30PM; I'll be presenting "Walking the Line in SFR" as well as signing "Alien Tango", "Touched by an Alien" and, as Anita Ensal, "Love and Rockets".

More Breaking News!

I know we just had breaking news last week. And, interesting, the news is breaking on the same day this week. I sense a trend... But, at any rate, and as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, get ready.

Remember how a few weeks back I told you there was something I wanted to tell you, but couldn't? That something that I kept fretting about wanting to tell you? Yeah, that? Well, the that that was non-disclosure is now the that I can fully disclose. (Yeah, I love dragging it out sometimes.)

*drum roll, just 'cause it drags it out a little longer*

I can now officially announce that we've sold the first foreign rights for "Touched by an Alien" to German publisher Piper. So, "Touched by an Alien" is coming in German, somewhere in the near-ish future! (No, I don't actually know when...I'm last on the trickle-down info chain for all of this.)

More tomorrow, though probably just the usual stuff and not exciting OMG type news. But, you know, you never can tell.

Love,
Gini
