February's READ THIS! Selection

And Remember: One Lucky Q&A Participant can win it early!

The READ THIS! Selection for February 2022 is:

My Luck (Twisted Luck Book 1)
By Mel Todd

Because I get asked this daily (often multiple times daily)...

Yes, Aliens Like Us IS coming, but...

No, Aliens Like Us still isn't ready for Prime Time, but...

I'm on Version 5 of the rewrite process. Does every book take me this long? No. Will all the others in the series take this long? Likely no. Life has tossed a lot at me and mine and that's made some things a struggle, but...

Kitty is always with me, and she's not going to let the bad things win, in any universe.

So...Watch this space for more updates as I have them. And keep those digits crossed for the hope that my shouting "the end!" comes sooner as opposed to later.
Availability Update Update

That headline isn't a typo. Those of you who e-read may already have Gunfight on Europa Station in your hot little hands. Those who want a phyical copy, however, are currently still waiting. Why? Supply chain issues. The physical copies ARE coming, we just don't know when. So, if you haven't pre-ordered this cool anthology featuring "Showdown on Big Rock 27" by moi writing as Anita Ensal, get it today in ebook, or pre-order today for a physical copy that, we now sincerely hope, arrives by my birthday this month. (Yes, that's another month's delay. It is what it is...Le Sigh.)

November's READ THIS! Book of the Month and a Whole Lot More!

Happy Thanksgiving Month!

It's the real start of fall -- October is always sort of summer and sort of fall wherever I am, but November is Fall All The Way!

And that means it's Thanksgiving Month! Thanksgiving has become my favorite holiday for a wide variety of reasons. And what I've been thankful for since Touched by an Alien published is for all of my readers and fans -- all y'all complete me.

This month we have a great book to be reading, and so much more, so let's get to it, shall we? We shall!

November 2021 READ THIS! Selection

The READ THIS! Selection for November 2021 is:

The Day Before
By Liana Brooks

Gini's Take: Clones, murder, and a twisty plot -- what more can you ask for from a SF Mystery? A rollicking ride and a book you can't put down, and this book delivers all of it.

About the Author: Liana Brooks writes science fiction, fantasy, and romance for people who like fast ships, big guns, witty one-liners, and happy endings. She has lived almost everywhere in North America and currently resides in South Carolina. She is best known for her super villain romances starting with EVEN VILLAINS FALL IN LOVE and the enemies-to-lovers space opera series, Fleet of Malik. You can find Liana on the web at www.lianabrooks.com or on Twitter as @LianaBrooks.

And Remember: One Lucky Q&A Participant can win it early!

The READ THIS! Selection for December 2021 is:

A Cup of Joe
By Gini Koch writing as Anita Ensal

Because I get asked this daily (often multiple times daily)...

Yes, Aliens Like Us IS coming, but...

No, Aliens Like Us still isn't ready for Prime Time, but...

I'm writing like a crazed wolverine (and yes, all the other projects aren't distractions, they KEEP me writing) so...

Fear not, Kitty & Company will be back later than you want but sooner than you think...

I promise.

P.S. I'm expecting to have some good news on this front sooner as opposed to later, so continue to watch this space for updates!
Look! The Yap is Large & In Charge!

That's right, I'm the featured guest for the 350th podcast over at TG Geeks! Enjoy the conversation and whatever hints and tidbits I might have dropped.

More Yapping!

That's right, more yapping from me and other awesome authors over at ConTinual. The latest offering is Zombies! wherein I discuss those shambling creatures of terror, though in my worlds they're either helping the rest of the Necropolis Enforcement gang or moving a lot faster than anyone would like in The New West.

And don't miss these other cool panels I've run the yap on:
Breaking Down the Genres
Economics in World Building
Horror and Romance
Sherlockian Mystery
Sherlock Returns
Christmas in July Holiday Short Reads

October's READ THIS! Book of the Month & Ways to See the Me!

Happy Halloween Month!

It's the spoo-ook-iest time...of the year...where the pumpkins are growing and costumes are flowing and cool candy is heeere...it's the most spookiest time...of the year!

I sincerely hope all y'all sang that in your heads. Because while I know that the holiday music has started up in many places, I'm a firm believer in celebrating the holidays in their appropriate months.

And that means it's Halloween Month! And, right now, all y'all think I have something amazeballs planned and...you just read it already. Hey, it's hard to come up with decent poetry, at least for some of us. The author of the next READ THIS! Book of the Month doesn't have that problem, though, and that's a good thing!

So, let's get to that book, ways to see the me, and more, shall we? We shall!

October 2021 READ THIS! Selection

The READ THIS! Selection for October 2021 is:

The Invisible Heroine
By Phyllis Hemann

Gini's Take: A fantastic collection of poetry that highlights the wonder existing in love, hope, and humanity from my favorite living poet...and the person who gave me permission to write. Without Phyllis Hemann, you don't get Kitty, or anyone else.

About the Author: Phyllis Hemann grew up reading and telling stories. As a child, she scribbled poems with crayons and pencils. Now she writes her own tales for children and adults. She studied creative writing and theology to become a writer and teacher. Her creative and editorial work has appeared in newspapers, journals, magazines, and anthologies. She is the author of THE INVISIBLE HEROINE (Finishing Line Press). When not writing, she dabbles in other creative mediums including photography, jewelry, and dog training. She lives in Arkansas with her family and their goofy dog (IG @pup2prince). Find her online @phyllishemann and phyllishemann.com.
