Cover Premiere Friday

Happy Friday! Hope everyone had a great week. It's been busy over here in Gini Land, and, as our title suggests, we have a cover premiere for all y'all. So let's get to it, shall we? We shall!

Leah Cannon attended all of the workshops I taught at the SDSU Writer's Workshop in January and she blogged about it, too, over at Leah Can Science. Check it out and discover some of the wisdom I extolled.

Then check out Heroes and Heartbreakers to see why they recommend Touched By An Alien as one of their book to read as well as re-read.

After that, author Henry Hertz's newest book, Monster Goose Nursery Rhymes from Birch Tree Publishing is now available. It's full of fun stuff for all of us into geek and nerd culture, so have a looksee!
Next up, check out a new review of Kaiju Rising: Age of Monsters from United Federation of Charles to see what he thought of all the stories, including With Bright Shinning Faces by moi writing as J.C. Koch.

Now for some science! Per IFL Science, mathematician and Father of the Computer Alan Turing’s code-breaking papers were recently discovered by some workers at the multimillion pound restoration project of Bletchley Park. These papers will be going on display soon, right after the Dazzlers have a look at them.

Universal Alien is turning out to be fact and not fiction according to a report from The Spirit Science. I'm sure all y'all will agree with me when I say that I told you about it first!

A reminder for my upcoming in-person schedule of events:

Monday, March 9, 5-6pm PST/8-9 EST - I and the rest of the Paranormal Romance Dream Team will be be participating in another Night Owl Reviews live chat. Happy Face Friday

Happy Friday the 13th! Hope everyone had a great week, no one has anything nasty happen to them today, and that all y'all are ready to celebrate Valentine's Day and/or Single Awareness Day this weekend. Go out and have some fun with your someone special or just with some good friends. And remember that the A-Cs and Poofs love each and every one of you, and ACE says you never walk alone. Of course, Danger Day and Romance Weekend aside, there's lots going on in Gini Land. So let's get to it, shall we? We shall!

I finally have my Amazon Author page up and active, so head over there and  follow me on Amazon to get the updates for when to pre-order my upcoming bookie-wookies. Also, don't forget to follow TeamGini @RealTeamGini on Twitter as well as my Facebook Fan Page, Gini Koch: Hairspray and Rock 'n' Roll, and the Alien Collective Virtual HQ Fan Site. There's lots of cool stuff all over!

Speaking of which, Kelsey is hard at work getting the Sightings in the Wild page updated with all the pics from Joseph (and a few I remembered to send over, too). So, keep your eyeballs over there, because if you sent a pic, it will be getting up for all to gaze upon its wonder!

Speaking of bookies wookies, check out what My ParaHangover thought of Alien Proliferation.

Then, head over to Heroes and Heartbreakers to see what books they're recommending if you like book-to-movie and/or TV properties.

Next up, see if you can spot Universal Alien (below) sharing the same shelf with some cool books. Check out the full post over at Pleated Jeans for more fun "section reassignments".

Recently one of my Team Gini members was in a car accident and his car is in the shop. He's looking for some help to pay for his car to get fixed. If you're able and so inclined to help out, he'd very much appreciate it, and at certain donation levels you can also get free stuff from moi. It's all over at Go Fund Me.

Next up, check out a list of top ten reasons why books matter over at the Design Observer Group.

Did you miss getting your Gini fix in December and January? Fear not, because, I will be out and about in March!

Monday, March 9 - I and the rest of the Paranormal Romance Dream Team will be be participating in another Night Owl Reviews live chat. Last time we gave out lots of prezzies, and I'm sure this time will be no different. The chat will run from 5-6 pm PST/8-9 EST. Don't miss out, it's sure to be a blast and a half!

Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15 - I'll be at the Tucson Festival of Books. It's the fourth largest Book Fair in the country, so you don't want to miss out. When I'm not doing panels or signings, you can find me at The Dreams Booth, Booth # to come.

My current TFoB Schedule:
Saturday, March 14, 4-5pm - Making Magic Real: Suspending Reader Disbelief, Integrated Learning Center Room 130; signing immediately after Sales and Signing Area - Integrated Learning Center
Sunday, March 15, 11:30am-12:30 pm - I Got Nuthin' – Battling Writer's Block, Integrated Learning Center Room 141; signing immediately after Sales and Signing Area - Integrated Learning Center
Sunday, March 15, 2:30-3:30pm - Paranormal, Urban Fantasy, and Sci-Fi,  Koffler Room 216; signing immediately after Sales and Signing Area - Koffler Patio

Speaking of TFoB, check out my TFoB interview with Dani Weber, where she asks some new questions, and all y'all get to hear all about the Crazy Dog Lady.

Saturday, March 28, 12-4 pm - mass author signing at the Book Vault, 2055 S. Power Road, Entrance #3 in Mesa, AZ, featuring moi along with awesome authors Alan Black, Kris Tualla, Deena Remiel, and Melanie Tighe.

Next up, I wanted to share that yes, the universe is smiling down at us. The Hubble Telescope took a picture of a cluster of galaxies and it looks like a giant smiley face. ACE and Sandy definitely approve.

I have seen the cover of Alien Separation and it...is...AWESOME. Cannot share it, or my other announcement, with all y'all just yet, but the very MOMENT I can you know that I will.

Until next time, enjoy your weekends, and let's be readers out there. Peace out, my li'l gangstas and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Comedic Musings

Happy Thursday! Hope everyone's been enjoying their week and eyeing the start of another great weekend. I'm eyeing my second viewing of The Avengers and potentially my first viewing of Dark Shadows, but before I head off into cinematic delight, let's get caught up on all that's going on around the interwebs.

First up, head over to Staffer's Musings where there's a new, cool, and different kind of interview with G.J. Koch (yes, moi) combined with a book review that's large and in charge. There's also a chance to win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate, open internationally.

Losing track of everywhere you can go to win a copy of my newest bookie wookie? Look no further than right here, at the Blog Tour page.

And the winning doesn't stop there. Head over to author Monique James' website and get in on the Book Demolition Derby Scavenger Hunt. You can win a ton of books from a variety of authors, including Alien in the Family from yours truly.

After getting in on the scavenger hunt, head over to Heroes and Heartbreakers where Heather Massey of The Galaxy Express fame is talking about Moms of the Future including our own Kitty Katt-Martini.

Then check out Rachel Brimble's interview with Alien Collective Member in Very Good Standing Jessica Subject.

For those of you coming to Phoenix Comicon, make sure you find me or my table in Author's Alley somewhere during the con. Why? Because I have special postcards from Musa Publishing that will entitle you to a free copy of Penumbra eMagazine AND two free books, including When Josie Comes Home by A.E. Stanton (yes, that's also moi). That's a lot of free in one postcard, but that's just the nice kind of folks they are at Musa. So be sure you don't miss out on this opportunity to see the me AND get the free!

That's it for today, so I leave you with one last thought. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and those who cover mom roles out there. May your day be filled with all the good things, including great books to read.

Love,
Gini

Hump Yappin'

Happy Hump Day! Well, the last blog was short and sweet, so y'all must have been prepared for the next one to be, shall we say, longer, right? (And we SHALL say longer, oh yes we shall.) So, let's roll (I know, I sound so "street" when I say that) right into all the goings on.

First up, head over to Civilian Reader and check out my latest interview. There are new things said there, I promise. And there's also a giveaway. Leave a comment, get entered to win a signed, personalized copy of Touched by an Alien, Alien Tango, or Alien in the Family.

Reminder that you can still enter to win over at Tote Bags 'n' Blogs and Tynga's Reviews. Both contests close Friday.

After you read my latest yappings, head over to Heroes and Heartbreakers and read Matzah For Thought by one of the Alien Collective Members in Very Good Standing, Stacey Agdern.

Next on our tour of the interwebs, check out what Bitten by Paranormal Romance thought of "Contingency Plan" by Anita Ensal (yes, that's moi).

Then head over to io9, The Ranting Dragon, and The Deadline Dames and check out their listings of new April releases.

Next, see what Miss Vain's Paranormal Fantasy got in her mailbox. And find out what Pages of Forbidden Love is hoping to do to get out of a blogging funk.

Have to share the latest cover of my BFF Marsheila Rockwell's latest upcoming release, Skein of Shadows. It's a gorgeous cover and I can't wait for the book!

Mega Congrats to the awesome Daniel Dos Santos and Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant who are up for Hugos again this year! May the best (meaning Dan and Seanan) win!

Live Nude Girls! Oh, sorry, not really. Well, live and girls is right. And since I'm talking about a live internet chat this Friday the 13th (oooooh) with Literal Addiction and Book Monster Reviews, the nude is always a possibility when in one's own home, innit? Head over to the Literal Addiction Author Chat at 6pm Eastern Daylight Time and run the yap with me. Yes, burning questions might indeed be asked and answered. But you won't know unless you're there, will you?

Well, I was going to do my Jambalaya and LepreCon roundups, but frankly this puppy's pretty darned long already, so we'll save those for another day. So, until then, enjoy the downward slide towards the weekend and let's be readers out there!

Love,
Gini

It's Release Day and So Much More! Wheeeeee!

Happy Alien Proliferation Release! Yeah, I'm excited. And there's so much going on today, that while I'd love to just bask in the glow of the release of "Alien Proliferation", I can't because, well, um, there's just so much going on!

First off, head over to Literary Escapism where Kitty and Martini discuss A Very Alien Christmas. You can also enter to win a copy of "Alien Tango".

Speaking of "Alien Tango", it gets a shout out in Heather Massey's interesting Heroes and Heartbreakers article about The Courtship Dance in Science Fiction Romance.

And speaking of Heroes and Heartbreakers, check out The Eight Characters of Chanukah blog post by Stacey Agdern. (Yes, that's "Touched by an Alien" gracing the #1 position.)

Then, check out some new reviews of "Alien Proliferation" from Hanging with Bells and Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell. And see which quotes Bibliognome chose as her favorites.

Pearls Cast Before a McPig has some nice things to say about today's releases. And Transreal Fiction has a nice listing of today's releases as well.

Reminders:

This Wednesday, Dec. 7th, aka tomorrow, I'll be doing a live chat with Book Monster and Literal Addiction, from 6-8pm Mountain time (8pm start Eastern, 7pm start Central, 5pm start Pacific, open internationally but you'll have to figure out the times on your own, sorry, LOL). Here are the details, join if you can!

LINK FOR LIVE CHAT -
http://www.literaladdiction.com/author-chat.php#/general/

NOTE: This Chatroom works best with Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari web browsers. It does work with older versions of I.E, though it has been known to have issues. The newer versions of Internet Explorer (I.E) do not work at all! Please use Firefox or Chrome for best results, and make sure that your Java is up-to-date!

I'll be in San Diego at Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore for their Eat! Read! Party! Holiday Event on Saturday, December 10th, from 3-5pm, signing "Alien Proliferation" and anything else attendees want. Hope to see some of you there!

That's it for today, but, as always around release time, more's coming, and not only the live chat. (The Combo-Con Contest, for example. For Hook Me Up! only. So if you're not on, you're gonna miss out. Send an email to gini@ginikoch.com with "Hook Me Up!" in the subject line, and do it today!)

So, enjoy all the reading, and then get your copies of "Alien Proliferation" and enjoy your time with Kitty and Company!

Love,
Gini
