Is that all? Not by a long shot. Check out what Mixed Book Bag and Night Owl Reviews have to say about "Alien in the Family".

Next up, "Alien Tango" is in an all out brawl with Gena Showalter's "Ecstasy in Darkness" over at Bitten By Books. Please head over and vote so Kitty and Company can make it to the next round of the big Smackdown.

Mark of the Stars has her big blogoversary blowout wrap-up, including all the big winners. Congrats to all!

There's more updates on the website, including Sightings in the Wild, Cool Links, and Spotlight.

Reminder that I'll be at LepreCon 37 in Tempe, AZ this weekend. If you're in the area, come on by and join in on all the fun! Yes, I'll be doing readings and signings.

That's all for today. Have fun, go get your win on, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,

The Last Hump

I, of course, mean the last hump day of 2010, that is. But you knew that, right?

And, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, what a busy day it is, too! First off, we have some new reviews of "Touched by an Alien". Check out Tigris Eden's Forbidden Fruit & Carnal Pleasures, The Book Pimp Blogs, Mark of the Stars, Yolanda Sfetsos' Other Worldly Tales, and An Abundance of Books to see what they had to say about our favorite aliens.

But what would anything be this time of year without more Best Of lists? And we have some great ones today. Hit Reading on the Dark Side, Dren's B-Spot, Reading Amidst the Chaos, and Babbling About Books to see what they liked in 2010 and how much they liked it!

For those of you who also write or are pursuing writing, check out the latest great post from Jacqueline Lichtenberg over at Alien Romances. It's in-depth, but you'd pay money for this info elsewhere, so take advantage of it here for free! Plus, it's interesting, so it's a double win.

Like the rest of the year, Catfest 2010 seems to be winding down. Whether this means it will go out with a bang or a whimper, or a huge caterwaul of a cat fight, remains to be seen. Suffice to say that the Interlopers have appeased He Who Rules All, aka Mr. Fluffykins, and appear to be allowed to live. Dementia Kitty ignores them when she's in the "now" and shrieks and hisses when she's off in kitty la-la land, but otherwise, they're cool. The Interlopers have also discovered the doggy door, and are livin' large by going in and out. And in and out and in and out and...hey, they're babies. The Canine Death Squad, realizing that the kittens are both here to stay and, like the other cats, getting fed first, have all decided that sulking and clinging to Mommy are the way to go, Big Baby in particular. It's not easy to work in a small space with 3 large dogs and 4 demanding cats with you, but I'm making do.

But as 2010 winds down, 2011 gets going! Check out the great 2011 Anticipation list from ALPHA Reader! And there's more -- and I don't just mean the release of "Boondocks Fantasy" (Jan. 4th) and "Alien in the Family" (Apr. 5th).

Tigris Eden's Forbidden Fruits & Carnal Pleasures is doing it up big for my birthday, and lots of lucky folks will be getting the presents. There will be not one but TWO live chats with yours truly on Jan. 24th and Jan. 25th, along with a wickedly huge giveaway you do NOT want to miss! Stay tuned for more as we get closer to the dates, but be sure to mark your calendars -- there shall be winning, and yapping, afoot!

Love,
Gini

One Week To Go

Happy Tuesday! Or, as I like to think of it, happy one week before "Alien Tango" officially releases! Officially, yes. But as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, little Alien Collective birdies have told me that they've spotted "Alien Tango" on the shelves already, so if you're out and about, check your local bookstore, because it might be out waiting for you already.

If not, pre-order it so you can be sure your copy will be waiting for you. Need more pre-order incentive? Check out the great review for "Alien Tango" at Tempting Persephone.

Then head over to About Happy Books to see what she's waiting for Mr. Postman to bring her.

And because we don't want "Touched by an Alien" feeling left out, check out the review at Mystifying Paranormal Reviews. Then head over to The Galaxy Express where they're helping spread the news of the German rights sale.

Don't forget to check out the interview and giveaway at Dren's B-Spot -- get entered to win "Alien Tango" and "Touched by an Alien" OR "Alien in the Family" (via pre-order).

Yes, there's more coming (like the Combo-Con Contest), but after yesterday's wildness, I think we'll keep it on the quiet side today. So until, you know, tomorrow, hang loose, rock on, and let's be readers out there!

Love,
Gini

Busiest Monday EVER?

You decide...'cause, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, when I say busy, I MEAN busy. There's so much going on today it may take until tomorrow to get to it all. But we shall persevere! So, onward...

First up, the yap's running wild today! Check out the interview with moi at Dren's B-Spot. Not only do you learn new fun things about me, but she's also doing an awesome giveaway! Check out how to win a copy of "Alien Tango" with either a copy of "Touched by an Alien" OR a pre-ordered copy of "Alien in the Family". SUCH a deal!

Speaking of winning, Larissa's Bookish Life is doing yet another fab giveaway and this one, like the one Dren's doing, you do NOT want to miss. Larissa's giving away more than just "Alien Tango", though that's in the winning mix, so check it out!

Then leap over to 1st Turning Point where my OpEd piece on writer's blogs is both large and in charge and also generating a lot of responses from authors. Many of y'all represent the blogging public, and you all represent the reading public, so add your $0.02 into the discussion.

Next, check out my own beloved website if you haven't already. Hit some pages, check it out, 'cause it's had a little makeover in honor of the imminent release of "Alien Tango".

That's a lot right there, isn't it? But oh, we're nowhere close to done.

There's another fab review of "Touched by an Alien" over at 25 Hour Books. Check it out, leave some Alien Collective love, you know the drill.

Then check out Bibliotheca Discordia, The Life and Travels of Sullivan McPig, Ex Libris, and Ramblings from a Chaotic Mind to see all the interesting things that arrived in their mailboxes over the weekend.

Last but in no way least, check out I Smell Sheep for their latest contest wherein you can win an awesome Sheeped by an Alien t-shirt.

Now, THAT'S all. For today. Trust me...you want to fasten those seatbelts...this week's gonna be a wild ride, 'cause there's LOTS more to come!

Love,
Gini

Reviews, Anticipations and Yaps, Oh My!

Miss me while I was gone? Well, I missed all of you during the weekend, but TusCon was awesome! I'll do a recap later, 'cause, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, so much went on while I was gone that I have a lot to catch you up on.

First off, we have a new review of "Touched by an Alien". Check out Dren's B-Spot and what she liked best about our fave aliens.

Then, head over to the Bibliophilic Book Blog and see how strong (ARMY strong!) "Alien Tango" actually is. Then, hit Books, According to Nicole and share in the anticipation. And check out what My Need to Read thought of "Touched by an Alien" as well.

Think that's all? No way! The yap is running again! Check out The Book Pushers interview and learn yet more about what we laughingly call "my process". Oh, and *cough cough* there might be an excerpt from "Alien Tango" there, too. Might be. Just sayin'. Could happen.

Next on the hit parade, if you want a chance to see moi in person, you've got more opportunities coming up.

Friday, Nov. 19th -- Author Book Signing, Borders Waterfront, Scottsdale, AZ, 5PM - 7PM. 8 authors, lots of books, yours truly, signing like mad. (Attention Local Alien Collective Members: I might have copies of "Alien Tango" with me, and if I do, I might be persuaded to sell them to you, all early-like. Just sayin' it's a possibility...)
Saturday, Nov. 20th -- Desert Rose Annual Fall Writer's Workshop, Scottsdale, AZ, 9AM - 4:30PM. FREE all day seminar with tracks for all aspiring and new authors on all the aspects of how to and why to write. Scottsdale Public Library.
Saturday, Dec. 11th -- spotlight author at the Mysterious Galaxy Holiday Party, San Diego, CA, 6PM - 8PM. Come get your copy of "Alien Tango", get it signed, and hang out with yours truly at the coolest bookstore around.

That's it for today, but I promise...more is coming, including a Combo Con Swag Giveaway! So stay tuned, live large, and read on!

Love,
Gini
