Al...Most...There...

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a wonderful week and weekend, that for those who celebrated it was a wonderful or at least memorable Thanksgiving, and for those who shopped that you all found wonderful bargains.

As we all well know, or should, at any rate, tomorrow is the release day for Universal Alien! And that means the Universal Alien Top 10 Blog Tour is revved up again! Today we have two stops, so head over to Readaholics Anonymous and see what the top 10 places Kitty picked to do the deed, and then hit Books-n-Kisses to see what the top 10 songs Kitty chose for kicking butt. And don't forget to get entered to win your choice of one of the first 9 books in the series, signed and personalized, at each stop, both open internationally.

And while you're there, see what Books-n-Kisses thought of Alien vs. Alien, too.

Then hit Two Gay Geeks where they have an exclusive, and rather rollicking, podcast featuring moi. A lot of fun was had by all and I may have dropped some teasers and perhaps even a spoiler or two (hey, wine was involved) so have a listen and join in the fun!

And, of course, if you haven't already had the anticipation ratcheted up, head over to my Deathless Prose page and check out the prologue and first chapter of Universal Alien!

There's one Top 10 Blog Tour stop still to come, and one more chance to win, but if you missed any of the Top 10 lists, check 'em out!

After you get entered, don't forget to make your plans to attend my Release Day Party and Signing at The Poisoned Pen. Not in the Greater Phoenix Metro Area? Not to worry, we've got you covered. There will be a LiveStream event going on at the same time, meaning you can see the me from any corner of the world you happen to reside in. Party starts at 7pm Mountain (9pm Eastern), so don't miss it, no matter where you are!

It's also Cyber Monday today, so let's talk deals. First up, have you grabbed your Sensational Six boxed set yet? If not, WHY not? It's at the ridiculously low price of $0.99 for six great stories from Six Gals and a Guy, aka Sasha White, Jordan Summers, Marcy Rockwell and Jeff Mariotte, Vivi Anna, Caris Roane, and, of course moi.

My entry in the set is The Night Beat, Necropolis Enforcement Files #1, and right now this boxed set is the only place you can get it. Already have The Night Beat? Not to worry -- in addition to five other great stories of varying lengths, Sensational Six is also the only place where you can get a long excerpt for Night Music, Necropolis Enforcement #2...until it releases in early 2015! Want to see Night Music's cool cover even larger sized? Hit my Premieres page and check it out!

So, do your Six Gals and a Guy a solid and get your less than a dollar copies of the Sensational Six boxed set right here, and get 'em today!

Amazon UK
Amazon Canada
Amazon Australia

After that, head over to UFO Publishing for another Cyber Monday deal, which includes Unidentified Funny Objects 3, which features my short story, "Live at the Scene". And, you know, I think you can still pre-order Universal Alien even on the Monday before release (hint, hint and all that jazz).

Once you're done shopping, do some dreaming, and head over to Larissa's Bookish Life and see which book series she'd like to see do crossovers.

Then, check out the fact that scientists have discovered ACE!

That's it for today, but as always more's on the way including the release of Universal Alien! Happy reading to all, and to all a good Universe!

Love,
Gini

Pick Up Some Aliens

Happy Monday! It's a long one today, but that's because I'm heading out of town (more on that below) and don't want all y'all to miss out on anything!

But first up, hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! All winners who won ebooks have them now. And for those of you who are getting physical books, they will go out by the week of the 10th (and you're waiting for a couple of reasons, but you'll be happy for the delay, I promise).

Also, welcome to November! Know what November is? Nah, I and the Stampeding Herd don't do NaNo ('cause we do our own version all year long). Nope, November is when my third Alien Series Short, "Alien Pick-Up", is available in the current issue of Penumbra eMagazine! So, if you're jonesing for an Alien fix and don't want to wait until December 2nd when Universal Alien releases, go grab a copy of Penumbra today!

And, for those of you who may have somehow missed the May and July issues, containing "Alien on the Runway" and "Mr. Dash Saves the World" respectively, don't continue missing out! Penumbra has all their back issues for sale, too!

After getting all caught up with Penumbra, see what Books-n-Kisses thought of Alien Collective.

And then it's time for some science! In honor of the story I'll be writing for the Temporally Out of Order anthology,
see what io9 wants to remind us all about the true perils of time travel. (Hint -- it's NOT killing your grandfather...it's much, much worse...) And it also totally absolves the Ancients of a lot of errors, too. Well, somewhat anyway. And, shocking one and all, the comments on this article are really great, well thought out, and thought provoking -- which is probably the most surprising thing about the article, when you think about it...

As a reminder for all SoCal area peeps -- I'll be in da hizzy on Thursday, November 6, for the mass signing of A Darke Phantastique. And I won't be alone! A slew of awesome authors will be there, including William F. "Logan's Run" Nolan! Truly, if you're in the area, get over to the Mystery and Imagination Bookstore at 5:30 this Thursday for a fun party with authors, cake, and wine! Also, if you have any of my bookie wookies you want signed, bring 'em all and I'll sign 'em all!

Also, since I'll be out of town starting on Wednesday, be sure to hit Slice of SciFi on Friday, to see what I thought of Big Hero 6.

Speaking of being out of town, Vegas Area Peeps, we have time confirmation for my signing at the Barnes & Noble Henderson on December 13, 2014, where I'll be joined with fellow Wyked Women Who Write authors T.L. Smith and Sharon Skinner for a party and more from 1-4pm! Cake, yaps running, prizes being handed out left and right, so don't miss out! This is our first Vegas area signing, so if you want us to keep on coming back, help us pack the house!

Other Southwestern area peeps, I'm still finalizing the last stops on my December Book Tour, so keep your eyeballs peeled for a signing in your area! And hit the Datebook for info on all confirmed stops! Every stop currently planned with have a party -- including cake and prizes -- so be sure to make your plans now to attend! You'll be glad you did. (And remember: If you haven't yet, pre-order Universal Alien TODAY from your fave bookstore or online retailer!)

Remember to keep the eyeballs peeled and mark your calendars for November 17th, when Sensational Six: Action and Adventure in Sci Fi, Fantasy, and Paranormal Romance will hit the airwaves. Six great stories from seven great authors, and all for $0.99! Plus you'll get a long, and the only, excerpt of Necropolis Enforcement Files #2, Night Music (coming early in 2015), as a boxed set extra! (BTW, I swear that's Ralph on the Sensational Six cover, and no one gets to tell me otherwise!)

Gosh, is that it? I think it is, at least for, most likely, this week. See some of you on Thursday, all of you have fantastic weeks and even better weekends, and let's be  readers out there. Peace out, my li'l gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,
Gini

Yapping for the Win!

Hey there! Hope everyone's had a wonderful past couple of weeks. Yes, I'm kind of slow on the updates right now because I'm still recovering from surgery, but never fear, I'm always thinking of all of you, promise!
And so you can see how I'm thinking of you, head on over to Books-n-Kisses to check out the latest yap about writing AND a contest! Contest is open internationally, there will be not one, not two, but three winners, and it runs through the end of the month. There's lots of winning over at B-n-K, so check it all out while you're there!

After that, head over to awesome author T.L. Smith's page, Shooting Stars and Bad Guys. Why? She's at Hawaii Con right now and plans to bring back a lot of goodies, that you could win! Just tell her who you think are the best female science fiction authors and you'll be entered to win! Contest is open through Sept. 17th.

Speaking of awesome authors, and since I didn't really give all y'all much of a CopperCon recap, check out what Marsheila Rockwell and Sharon Skinner have to say about it, complete with pictures.

After that, check out what Pages of Forbidden Love thought of Alien Proliferation. After that, see what Piers Anthony -- YES, THAT PIERS ANTHONY -- thought of UFO3/Unidentified Funny Objects 3, which he's in along with moi and a host of other cool authors.

Next up, some science. CNET shares the awesomely cool news that astronomers have mapped our address within gigantic superclusters of galaxies. It's extremely cool to see this the way ACE, Algar, and the Superconsciousness Collective see it. It also kind of looks like the Tree of Life in the Thor movies and comics. Science = proving fiction every day!
Heading to the movies this weekend? Head over to Slice of SciFi and see what I thought of The November Man. Staying in and reading comics instead? Then hit It's Comic Book Day and check out my review of Big Trouble in Little China #1, which I got for the hubs at San Diego Comic-Con ('cause it's his favorite movie of all time and always makes my Top 10). And feel free to join in and share your thoughts on the movie or the comic, or anything else, over at both sites!

Have you gotten Clockwork Universe: Steampunk vs. Aliens yet? If not, why not? It's now available in trade paperback as well as on all eformats, and it features the first Alien series short I ever wrote, "A Clockwork Alien", plus other great stories from a bunch of cool authors.

And, last but not least, there's some exciting news coming next week, from Zombies Need Brains, aka the same folks who brought us Clockwork Universe. What is it, you ask? Why, a new Kickstarter anthology featuring yet another new story by moi. There will be prizes and extras galore, along with the opportunity to get tuckerized in my story, so don't miss out on supporting Temporally Out of Order Anthology (SF&F)! This Kickstarter should go live on Monday, September 15, so check early and often, because the tuckerizations and other cool extras tend to go quickly. And check out this beautiful cover artwork for the anthology by Justin Adams of Varia Studio.

That's it for today, but as always, more's on the way. Hope you all have wonderful weekends, and let's be readers out there! Peace out my li'l gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,
Gini

For those outside the U.S., um, enjoy YOUR 4th of July week and weekend, too. It's a nice time of year, no matter where you are. But we have things to get to, so let's get to them, so we can all race to the weekend.

First up, I have two new reviews up at Slice of SciFi. So go check out what I thought of Despicable Me 2 and The Lone Ranger. I'm also planning to be in the Slice studio next Thursday -- make plans now to watch us tape live, because that's where you get to see everyone acting totally goofy. (Is that a draw? It is for me...)

Next up, see what Books-n-Kisses thought of Alien in the House.

And now, let's see where you can see the me in the coming months, shall we? We shall.

Next week I'll have all the details on where I'll be when at San Diego Comic-Con. And you have lots of chances to see the me if you're going to be there. Here's what I know so far:

DarkCon 2014 is heating up, and you don't want to miss it. Not only am I a Local Guest of Honor, but they're making one whole day GiniCon, so you want to be sure to attend. It's gonna be huge. Phoenix, AZ, January 9-12, 2014. If you can only go to one con in 2014, make it this one!

Kissing in the House

Hey there, I'm home! It was great seeing so many of you in San Diego at the big Mysterious Galaxy birthday party! Had a great time there and can't wait to see you all again for San Diego Comic-Con.

But before then there's lots going on, so let's get to some of it! Head over to Books-n-Kisses to check out the Top 10 Ways to Tell if Your Parents Are Actually Leading Secret Lives. There's also a chance to win a signed, personalized copy of winner's choice between Book 2/Alien Tango, Book 3/Alien in the Family, or Book 4/Alien Proliferation, along with a set of cover magnets, cover postcards, and signed flyers.

Next, head over to author Marsheila Rockwell's page, They're Biodegradeable, and see some pics from the signing on the 11th!

Phoenix Comicon and Arizona Dreamin' are at the end of this month. Don't miss another chance to see the me -- make your plans to attend NOW!

That's it for today, but more's on the way. So enjoy the week and let's be Alien in the House readers out there!

Yaps and Kisses

Happy Hump Day! Hope everyone's having a great week and looking forward to the happy downward slide to the weekend. But, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, there's plenty going on this week before then, so let's get to it.

Head over to Books-n-Kisses for a new interview with moi as G.J. Koch (and meet the first real split in the personality, so to speak), and get entered to win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate.

Remember that you can also get entered to win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate from Book Lovers Inc. through May 26th, and Staffer's Musings through May 17th, so don't miss your chances!

Then, check out the latest review of Alien Diplomacy from Book Talk with the Woodridge Public Library. I know it says Alien in the Family and even shows the Alien in the Family cover, but trust me, the reviewer really is talking Alien Diplomacy. Hey, these things happen, LOL.

That's it for today, but never fear, we'll be back soon. And in greater numbers. Star Wars shout out! Yeah, I'm geeking up for Phoenix Comicon...can you tell?

Peace out, my li'l gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,

Yappers and Other Lovers

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and all the moms and those who fill mom-type roles had a wonderful Mother's Day. I got roses from the hubs, and the hubs and chicklet gave me iTunes gift cards (which the Canine Death Squad and Killer Kitties insist were also from them), which is awesome because, as you all know, I need music to write and I have a lot of writing going on, so I need a lot of new music. Whoo hoo! Also went to a fab dinner and saw The Avengers again (and it was JUST as awesome the second time around). So my day was great.

But that's all in the past! Let's get to the right now. First up, as my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, the yap is large and in charge over at Book Lovers Inc.,plus you could win a copy of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate by G.J. Koch (yes, that's moi), so get over and get entered to win! While you're there, check out Book Lovers Inc.'s Pre-Summer Winner Post as well.

Now it's time for reviews, and there are a lot today. See what Books-n-Kisses thought of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate. Then see what Feeling Fictional, Bob's Beach Books, and The Reading Addict have to say about Alien Diplomacy. Then check out what Single Titles had to say about The Disciple by Jemma Chase (yes, also Moi).

Last but not least, check out what Larissa's Bookish Life has chosen as her Favorite Book Quotes.

I'm getting additional panels added on for Phoenix Comicon so keep your eye on my, and everyone else's, schedule so you don't miss out.

CONFIRMED: The bookstore for Phoenix Comicon, The Poisoned Pen, will have EARLY RELEASE copies of Alexander Outland: Space Pirate available at the con. So, definitely don't miss out -- get your copy early AND get it signed by the me!

That's it for today, but never fear, more's always on the way. Until then, peace out, my li'l gangstas, and I'll catch you on the flip side!

Love,
Gini

Can't Stop the Yappin'

Happy Thursday! As my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, we have a (relatively) short and sweet one for you today. (I know, what were the odds?) So let's roll.

Head over to Books 'n' Kisses where the yap is large and in charge. Enter to win your choice of any one of the first four books (Touched by an Alien, Alien Tango, Alien in the Family, or Alien Proliferation), signed and personalized, too.

Check out the latest review of Alien Diplomacy over at Ramblings From a Chaotic Mind.

Reminder that I'll be at LepreCon all weekend. If you're in or around the Greater Phoenix Metro Area, definitely drop by. Need incentive? Here's my schedule:

Friday
1-2pm Good, Bad and Ugly of Genre Fiction
5-6pm 12 Seconds of Fame & Social Networking
6-7pm SF & Fantasy Going Prime-Time
7-8pm Hiring & Working with Editors

Saturday
1-2pm The Alien Encounter
4-5pm Autograph Session
6-7pm Comics vs. Books
8-9pm Eye of Argon Reading

Sunday
11am-12pm World Building
2-2:30pm Reading (from, depending on audience, Alien Diplomacy or Alien vs. Alien)
3-4pm Science Research for Book Writing

Okay, so maybe it wasn't that short. But, hey, can't blame a girl for trying. More tomorrow, but until then, let's be readers out there!

Love,
Gini

The Yap Goes On a Character Spree

Hey there! Hope those who celebrate Thanksgiving enjoyed a fun, food-filled weekend. Hope those who indulge in the madness that is Black Friday and Cyber Monday got many good deals to keep the world economy moving. And hope everyone had a great weekend, no matter what!

No need to stop shopping now, btw. Go pre-order "Alien Proliferation" and "Alien Diplomacy", and race over to Musa Publishing to get a ton of ebook deals as well as all the stories available from Jemma Chase, A.E. Stanton, J.C. Koch and Anita Ensal. (What? Seriously, everyone else is pushing their wares right now. A girl's gotta do what she can to keep herself in chocolate and Coca-Cola, you know.)

But enough shameless begging! For this moment. As my Hook Me Up! subscribers already know, we have lots and lots and LOTS going on this week, so let's get rolling because, wow, do y'all have a plethora of links and some cool reading ahead of you.

First up, we have both a review of "Alien Proliferation" AND a new interview with moi as well as some of the characters over at Books-n-Kisses. You can also enter to win a signed, personalized copy of "Alien Tango", so don't miss out!

Next up, see what Caught in a Fab Romance thought of "Alien Proliferation". After that, head over to Paranormal Romance Fanatic and see what she thought of "Alien in the Family" and also check out some new covers. Then check out the nice listing of December releases over at Anna's Book Blog.

Speaking of "Alien Proliferation", check out both the website update as well as the first chapter which is live over at Deathless Prose. The 2012 Calendar is now available, too, over at the Alien Collective Depot.

Now, go weigh in on what author Dar Writes should wear to her poetry reading. And, as a belated Thanksgiving moment, check out who Smash Attack Reads! would have liked to have had at her table.

The Alien Proliferation Extravaganza is still going on through December 2nd at the Alien Collective Virtual HQ. Don't miss out -- get entered to win one of FIVE copies of "Alien Proliferation".

Next up, check out what Pearls Cast Before a McPig thought of "Hotter Than Hell" by Jemma Chase.

Of all the cons I've been to -- and I've been to a lot -- the one that I'd crown "the best" for fans and professional attendees both is Phoenix Comicon. Check out who's coming via Nerdvana and if you can be in the Greater Phoenix Metro Area over Memorial Day Weekend, make this con your destination of choice!

Speaking of seeing moi in person, reminder that I'll be at Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore in San Diego, CA, from 3p,-5pm on December 10th for their Holiday Party. Yes, I'll be signing copies of "Alien Proliferation"...and anything else you want signed, too!

Is that it for today? Yes. Is that it for this week? Hardly. We have lots more coming as we race up to the December 6th release of "Alien Proliferation", so stay tuned, and remember -- let's be readers out there!

Love,
Gini
